I've always played Legendary but took advice off Operation Sports and tried professional, dropping my keeper ability and marking, while significantly upping CPU pass speed and accuracy while dropping their error. I think I've found the right combo, if a bit higher scoring than realistic (averaging maybe 5-6 a game total)

Ive been playing solidly career mode since my last post and have decided pro is too easy. Trying to make wc easier but its hard to find the balance. Dont want to edit the user sliders much if at all to make the transition between online and career easier...its why im doing it after all. After a few goes on fut seasons im utterly hopeless at career mode and vice versa

Christ how did you get them for that cheap? I was told to pay huge amounts for those players.

Bakalli was insane on Fifa 14, was 90 rated aged 20 on my old career and I sold him for absolutely loads

 

I guess its purely because they're in the last year of contract. Just made enquiries and they didn't come back with really large sums. Offered 20% or so less than they wanted and it was easy. Had to keep offering higher for Bakkali though because other teams were in for him. Eventually I managed to get him without any competition. 

 

Like I say, they've barely featured although Campbell scored a couple in a 5-0 win away at Palace and Wickham got a hattrick against Gills in the LC 1st round. Ulloa's got 8 in 6 so far; even more threatening with Albrighton and his crossing. 16 points from 6 games so far.

 

I always just go for players with less than a year on their contracts so that even if I don't want them, I can sell them next transfer window. Same with free agents. Its the only way to try and build up some decent money with Leicester.

I've got you already HEGGSY although my connection 'ain't great' and my Kinect/mic are broken so I can't abuse you  lol . I guess we were probably going to do a Pro clubs team from a few FIFA's ago but never actually did it. We should try and get one on the go this year with as many people as possible, so if Finners and Chug fancy doing it, let me know and I'll pm you my mildly embarrassing Gamertag.

I swear team instructions don't work. My wingers refuse to run near the goal on counter attacks and I have to keep L1ing them to actually move. My wingers Mahrez and Albrighton will just walk around, whilst I have James and Drinkwater sprinting forward.

 

And I have all my settings to ATTACK ATTACK. But nope.

 

Really stupid.

I only play it on Legendary (as per previous post(s). Just came back from 1 down against Burnley to win in the last min. Vardy miscontrols is then manages to run down the wing before cutting inside to win a pen. Ulloa scores it for 10 in 7!

 

The annoying thing with the AI on FIFA is that playing against Burnley and the like, is often harder than Chelsea, United etc. Really had to scrap for that one.

HEGGSY can probably attest to the fact that I'm not good for much except running really quickly and lunging challenges.

 

That's a winning combo on Pro Clubs!  lol

Got it today and enjoying it. First time since the old Pro Evo's where it feels like lots of different things can happen, be it deflections, misplaced passes, keeper spills and the like. Shame about lcfc - they seem a bit under-rated and they look terrible in most cases! Since when did Christian Benteke play alongside Liam Moore?!

I've found playing against the lower rated teams harder as well, manage to control the game against Chelsea and Arsenal but against QPR and West Brom it's a proper scrap and gets quite frustrating.

Crossing is so hard, hardly win anything in the box even with quite physical players but makes scoring headers all the more sweeter I suppose, I like on this game that when you go a goal up the other team pressing and going more attacking is more noticeable in 14 it seemed like they stayed at balanced until the last 5 minutes whereas now the counter really works well at 1-0 up!

Trying to buy players is so frustrating. 

 

De Laet refused 2 contracts so I'm trying to swap him with people. I only have 2m, and the board wont give me anything else (yea thanks Vichai). Currently trying for Clyne (1m short), Jon Flanagan (1m short), and about 50000000 other right backs. Anyone decent and younger than 26 is just out of my price range.

 

But I got Chris wood on loan to Cardiff. He was moaning about his squad role and lack of matches.

Biggest kill joy in the game is Ben Hamer - He has no beard! Just some mere stubble, worst of all the players are uneditable so I can't even fix FIFA 15's mistake!

Having said I don't score or concede from out of the box, HEGGSY scores a worldie against me yesterday a la Mahrez v Blackpool. Since then I've spanked in two last night with Martinez.

Just like someone else said, actually, dipping shots over the keeper. Quite powerful though to be fair. Didn't look particularly unrealistic.

Oh and despite Pabon and Martinez, I think it's actually Jefferson Cuero that's still the top scorer in my club!

Career mode question: If you start as a manager at a small club and do well, do you get offers from bigger clubs later? I've never played career before, but tempted to get started on one.

1 of the biggest pisstakes about career mode for years was the lack of progress you could make jobs wise. Hasn't changed for the past 4 or 5 games so o wouldn't be surprised if it was no different this year.

On PC he has a weak beard, looks more like stubble than anything. I want something coming down to his chest!

Got 1 point less than we have in real life, but I knocked Liverpool out the league cup, with a weakened team on penalties. Won 14-13 lol Ben Hamer scored his.

H Everton 2-2
A Chelsea 1-3
H Arsenal 0-2
A Stoke 1-0
H Man Utd 2-3
A Palace 2-1

 

Few pretty realistic results. Interesting that someone plays Chris Wood and Ulloa can't get near the team. Wood has been the pits for me.
