AKCJ Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 But Drinkwater has good games, Hammond has been great the past few weeks.... I could list reasons as to why every player has done well....except for nuge. Nugent kept Daley Blind as quiet as a mouse in the United game. Just do one mate. Nobody needs your negative shite.
The Doctor Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 62% possession - first time we control the ball, and we just capitulate.
MC Prussian Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Because they took a 2-0 nil lead..... That is why....so easy to defend and create chances when leading. You tell that Manchester United.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Vardy has put in a bit of a 2012/13 performance. Lots of running around and no end product. Pretty sure we can get a result against Burnley, though
Haydos Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Can't just be me that saw the foul was about a yard outside the box?! Never a penalty but a definite free kick. It was a stone wall pen, the foul clearly continued into the box. Swings and roundabouts, last week's pen was a joke in our favour.
Fox 4 Life Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Because they took a 2-0 nil lead..... That is why....so easy to defend and create chances when leading. Them leading has nothing to do with it, if anything it should mean we attack more but we simply haven't done anything. They have been the better team by far.
Grewks Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 You tell that Manchester United. Did they try and defend? They got caught on the counter when leading a 2-0 lead....terrible tactics. Palace have showed how easy it is.
Buzzell Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Makes me feel a tad better knowing QPR are losing again.
ozleicester Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Lacked ideas today.. is selhurst a lot shorter than the KP?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 It was a stone wall pen, the foul clearly continued into the box. Swings and roundabouts, last week's pen was a joke in our favour. I thought the initial tangle of legs that felled Vardy was outside, he was on his way down in the box.
glenelgfox Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 We have not showed any urgency at all. Yep flat as!!! Very frustrating!
Shamomoa Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Balls going on a night out in derby tonight... N they are winning :-/
BlueSi13 Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 I see the Nugent fan club has gone into DEFCON 3. He isn't Premier League class boys, I'm sorry. But anyways onto next week, let's get this one out of our system.
Grewks Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Those who are criticizing me for criticizing nugent.... You cannot blame his lack of goalscoring because 'he plays a deeper linking role' and then criticize the side for knocking it long when Nugent isn't doing his 'linking' job. He offers absolutely nothing.
Fox92 Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 I don't get all this "back down to earth". We all know this is football, we all know how it works. If it was so easy as "well we beat Manchester United so we can beat Palace", then I'm sure we would have won the top flight years and years ago. I'm sure Nigel would like to dip into last weeks performance, bottle it up and share it out with the lads prior to every game. Football doesn't work like that.
MC Prussian Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Did they try and defend? They got caught on the counter when leading a 2-0 lead....terrible tactics. Palace have showed how easy it is. Palace are leading against us and we don't show any desire to either win the ball, keep it in possession or create chances. Your original post said "so easy to defend and create chances when leading." And when you look at Manchester United last week, that's where your simplistic theory falls apart.
lgfualol Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Can we go back to playing top 7 teams again. At least the players go out there to prove themselves
poggypogpog Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 The team are simply dreadful. The fans however can still be heard over the home crowd! Well played.
Buzzell Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Palace have been absolutely solid at the back today.......bastards.
Grewks Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Look at that pass by mahrez... that is the job of nugent and he hasn't done that in any game so far....Mahrez did that with a handful of touches.
bovril Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 We haven't been terrible. Palace have kept their shape well and we gave away two sloppy goals. No need to panic.
