Dr The Singh Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Palace have been very good. Well done warnock
Callabinho Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Bad day at the office it seems. Concede two goals from a set piece early on and it's completely thrown us. Hopefully a lesson and not early signs of inconsistency.
Mark Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 62% possession - first time we control the ball, and we just capitulate. This just emphasises how poor a choice Hammond was today considering we all expected to have more possession, and we've done sod all with it.
The Doctor Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 I'm starting to really hate Bolasie, and London. Also Delaney - what the hell has happened to him? I remember a complete donkey, not this half decent centre half
Grewks Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Palace are leading against us and we don't show any desire to either win the ball, keep it in possession or create chances. Your original post said "so easy to defend and create chances when leading." And when you look at Manchester United last week, that's where your simplistic theory falls apart. But Manchester united didn't try to defend....they just tried to attack with possession rather than counter attacking.
lgfualol Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 I thought Nugent has been brilliant this season. This game though everyone has been terrible. He'll never get dropped though so whatever.
Fox92 Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Can we go back to playing top 7 teams again. At least the players go out there to prove themselves I've said all along, this is something that frightened me. It's ok playing brilliantly against the top 7 teams, but we can't let that performance slip against teams around us/teams we are technically, on paper, capable of beating. Granted we beat Stoke, and we were great second half, but today we've been poor. Lets see how we react this time around for next weeks game.

Simple, really - Crystal Palace giving us a lesson in efficiency.
AKCJ Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Look at that pass by mahrez... that is the job of nugent and he hasn't done that in any game so far....Mahrez did that with a handful of touches. What the **** are you smoking? Mahrez is a winger, Nugent is a deep lying striker. Get a grip.
The Doctor Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 This just emphasises how poor a choice Hammond was today considering we all expected to have more possession, and we've done sod all with it. Oh aye - shown he's a decent enough enforcer in the first 5 games, but he isn't then good at recycling play like James.
SMX11 Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 How many touches do the midfielders want? Far too slow
Crinklyfox Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Palace have done their homework, set up to counter our strengths, and we haven't been able to make enough real chances. We're in the Premiership and days like this will happen. We still have a decent side and a good manager. Let's learn the lessons and move on but keep behind the team.
sdb Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Always going to be games we get nothing from this season but this has been well below par.
Buzzell Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 STOP WITH THE LONG FVCKING BALL FFS!! AGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Bad day at the office it seems. Concede two goals from a set piece early on and it's completely thrown us. Hopefully a lesson and not early signs of inconsistency. Early on? We've had over half an hour to try and get something back from this game and shown nothing bar a debatable was it / wasn't it penalty shout. Abject showing and it's hard to comprehend just how unbelievably terrible Drinkwater has been. Got to move on from this, and quickly.
shade Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 not easy to attack against 8 men compacted in to the final third.
chapero82 Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Hoofball FFS we are shit We really have been awful today, we look a complete different side to last week
Tuna Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Pearson needs an urgent re-think. He's got it badly wrong today. Need to get the right team out for Burnley, that is simply a must win. Anything other than that would be an absolute disaster anything like today's team and level of performance and it will be a predictable 0-1.
Grewks Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 What the **** are you smoking? Mahrez is a winger, Nugent is a deep lying striker. Get a grip. Exactly. Nugent is a deep striker and therefore responsible for linking the play...he does nothing.
MC Prussian Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 The referee could allow ten minutes of extra time at Selhurst Park, and we still wouldn't be able to score a goal.
Freesolo Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 This is the prem you aint gonna win every game, its how you bounch back from your defeats that counts, we are still unbeaten at home. We were poor today though didn't create much and couldnt handle set pieces it could have been 3 or 4 nil
lgfualol Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Oh bloody hell Burnley drew 0-0 agaimst these
MC Prussian Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 not easy to attack against 8 men compacted in to the final third. Did I miss something? When did we set out to attack today?
