be real.

"Awful performance"

"appalling performance"

We lost an away game in the Prem.

you need to not sound like other supporters.

Maybe you actually believed the hype you were spouting after the Manure victory.

Crap game between 2 crap sides.

Palace offered nothing until they scored from 2 set pieces and were really good afterwards and deserved their win.

Hammond constantly plays like we're winning 1-0. Drinkwater's worst game since the end of 2012/13.

Agree about this 433 thing. Generally can't fit three strikers in that formation and expect it to be a long term success. Although we looked slightly better than when Mahrez wasn't on, the previous combination of Vardy and Nugent alongside Ulloa didn't work at all.

Cant see it working if we continue with it

The game exemplifies the Premiership. You must be on your mettle every week. If not, you are punished. There are no 'giveaways' like there are in the Championship. It's very different.

We now need to bounce back against Burnley. We will, I think.

Palace much the better side - deserved three points.

Shame, as we played the wrong team and therefore I feel we didn't really put them under pressure at any point. Lack of creativity throughout.

Hammond has played ok so far but it's time James comes in for him. Can do everything that Hammond does but offers so, so much more going forward.

mentally tired, ran out of ideas, bound to happen, this is the premier... palace did a number on us from set pieces..... but think we are a better footballing side, get used to not winning every game!   a match too far for hammond.. liked the look of simpson..

Mahrez' cowardice in backing out of a 70:30 summed the whole performance up really. We resorted non stop to the easy option. Poor old Ulloa didn't have a chance.

NP was right about first half. Hammond and Drinky were poor for most of the game. No really quality in the play when Cambiasso came off.

Col you must have a short memory if you think there are giveaways in any league!

Yeovil, Doncaster, Charlton, Sheff Weds?

On reflection it reminded me a lot of Doncaster away last season.

In control of the game (or at least in the game, they score from a set piece and then we resort to pinging 60 yard balls into the head of their massive centre backs.

How was Simpson in his 1st game ...sub 63rd min..???

Looked mediocre. No improvement on De Laet. Got himself booked for no reason.

Woeful all over, Bolasie looks a serious talent if he can score more...

The only plus points really, were that james actually looked forwards today when he got the ball instead of sideways like we did all game...

And Danny simpson in his tiny cameo looked 3x the player Delaet has been this season...

Don't get me wrong DeLaet has been okay.. but only when we go forward in 2nd halves, he's been caught out majorly in each of our 1st half performances this season. Simpson looked well positioned, Showed he had a bit of pace, and a touch of class, I hope he can go on to show the potential he had a few seasons ago.

Best forget about today, We were outplayed, out thought, out muscled, we lost the battle in spirit and determination, and we looked flat.

We know these games were inevitable but we hoped not against the teams expected to be around us!

ROLL ON NEXT WEEK! :pearson:

Palace fan in peace. Came over to check what you guys thought about the game and many kind words. Being gracious in defeat is difficult. I think we'll both stay up and well done on last week.

Sorry bud, let me make it clear what I mean. In the Championship, you can have an 'off day' and still win a game, essentially because you are often still 'better' than the opposition. City, last season, could be operating on 70% and still win.

Not so in the Premiership. We can afford no off days. We'll get beaten. Basically because the teams are quicker, the finishing is more clinical and they are fitter. Even moreso away from home.

Well done Palace.  Deservedly beaten, not even close to the standards we have set so far this season.

Lets hope that's the worst shift we put in.  Redemption next week against Burnley  :scarf:
