Palace Post Match (2-0 Defeat)

Poor performance, brought back down to earth after the euphoria of last weekend.

Our terrible set piece defending made an unwelcome return.

At 2-0 down, we never really threatened at all which is hard to understand.

Odd and in my opinion, poor, substitutions from Nigel.

Only positives we can take are Cambiasso playing well, and the Gold kit actually looked decent.

Feel really, really deflated now.  :|

I know it's nice to have a nice thread to yourself but maybe wait till the game is over, mate.

Lacklustre. :(:nigel:

Easy to critisize a loss but Palace won the battle in the air. They stopped Ulloa.

In a game that screamed out for Knockaert and Wood, we opt for Cambiasso and Nugent it was only gonna go one way. Shame but I still believe that Nigel is the man to take us forward.

Anyone who blames not getting that penalty on the result should be banned from FT.

Call it a bad day at the office, we won't play that badly for a long while.

Called it! :(

Guaranteed loss! It's the Leicester way!

Manner of the defeat was the most disappointing. Loads of aimless long balls, midfield got dominated, RDL didn't get to attack which meant he had to defend - which he can't do, and Drinkwater looked like an impostor...that can't have been him.

Burnley will set up like that too so we'd better learn how to beat that system pretty quick.

All starters looked disinterested and somewhat disjointed the longer the game went on.

Crystal Palace (e.g. Warnock) did the homework on us.

Let's bounce back against Burnley next week, shall we?

We can't win every match in the top tier, although today could've been a great occasion to amass a further point or three to distance ourselves from the relegation zone.

I just hope the players have learnt their lesson and come back stronger.

De Laet needs to do some work on his defending, and the rest need general motivational training.

Real lack of energy today, not a lot of urgency. Fair play to Palace, set out to play like an away team at home and it's worked. Fecking Warnock has done us with his standard horrible Warnock tactics. Ref was appalling too, didn't get anything from him all game. Bah humbug all round!

That and we also prevented ourselves from doing anything constructive.

As soon as we had the ball, the best we could do is give it straight away.

Warnocks teams always seem to do well against us. I hate when we play against his teams!

Disappointing though considering we did so well against 5 big quality premier league teams then we come to palace and play like we have!

This was one of my worries that we wouldn't play well against the lesser teams! (Even though this is the 1st time we've played a lesser team so it's unfair to be too judge mental)

I don't think we played badly we just didn't play well.

They dominated in the air and we failed to run past them. Ulloa couldn't get his head on the ball and maybe should have been brought back behind the other two.

No complaints, well beaten, they defended well. Both their goals came from set pieces, which will be where the majority of their goals will come from this season. Wish we had that Bolasie, did I hear right that QPR sold him ?
