Stadt Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Miserable now But Palace played like they were away and handed us the initiative and their set pieces allowed them to defend deep.
greg5 Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 dissapointig..maybe we were too high after 2 wins in row
Bamba's Babes Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Positive people leave this thread, let us moan and get it out of our system. Being positive doesn't make you a better fan than me, it makes you an eejit according to me. --- That was horrific!!!
NathanC93 Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Very flat performance today and didn't really feel like we got going. Need to move on from this one and look on to Burnley.
nickelbyfox Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Well that was really disappointing - think we were set up wrongly, good thing now is Nige will make some changes. They read us like a book which was disappointing - need to tweak a few things up for next week
MPH Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Cant help but think that Ulloah scoring 5 in 5 might turn out to be a bad thing.... He's going to be a marked man now..... and it showed today.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Palace were set up to be disciplined, canny and dangerous and that's exactly what they were. We had spells in the first half but looked lost after the second goal went in. Palace put in a great shift and there fans should be proud of their players.
Out Foxed Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 a flashback performance to a few years ago there. devoid of ideas.
Raj Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Fook this im watching the Man.U game again on iplayer...thanks god its still on til tomorrow!!!
Unabomber Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Cant help but think that Ulloah scoring 5 in 5 might turn out to be a bad thing.... He's going to be a marked man now..... and it showed today. Oh come on.
HitchinFox Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 My humble opinion is that we got the tactics wrong. We went with the shape and line up that was tailor-made to combat Man U. Needed Mahrez from start (or Knockaert) today. We had more of the ball in this game than in any of the other games so far. Yet we were pretty much set up for counter attacks. Hammond shouldn't play in games like this. He is incapable of creating anything, which we needed today.Never mind. In Pearson we trust. Upwards and onwards. QPR lost which is a good result for us.
Finnaldo Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Awful performance. Need to improve against Burnley without doubt. Still 9th however, and anyone who thinks Pearson should have a 'urgent rethink' should have exactly one of those over whether they should continue supporting Leicester. Onwards and upwards I say, bad day at the office and we can build again next week.
crisp packet Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Went long all game . Meat and drink to a team full of six footers . Awful game . No quality what so ever. Two set pieces . Bad day at the office . Wrong tactics today I feel . We looked liked city of early 2013. Just a boom.!!! Oh well 8 points off the first six games ..
One Legged Beaver Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Appalling performance from us. Hope we never try to play hoof ball again and fully got what we deserved from the game, which was zilch.
lgfualol Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Very very bad day at the office, like really bad. Back down to earth, and a sad reminder to Nigel that playing the same winning team every week wont always work. God knows who he will play next week. Cambiasso was probably our best player. Can't believe our strikers disappeared so much, Vardy, Ulloa and Nugent absolutely absent and when they did get the ball Crystal Palace got right on top of them. On the bright side, at least Leicester don't have an announcer reminding you to make noise. Oh yeah, hoof ball should be banned unless we're on top.
AlphaMaleFox Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Jamie, Jamie Vardy Too much vodka, too much charlie!
ADK Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Wrong formation, I said 4-3-3 would not work and I was right. Couldn't have got our tactics and substitutions more wrong if we tried. Frustrated as Palace aren't very good.
Jaspa Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Weve been done by a thorny side that had us on set pieces, pace from Bolasie and a solid defence and midfield; we couldnt find a way through their midfield and lofted if up to the wings or Ulloa but they were firm and minimised out plan and threats. We were pretty poor in midfield and shouldve dominated more. Well done to Palace, theyre a hard team to get at and know what theyre doing. We need to find answers to teams that set out like this, I think at home later in the season we could make a bigger impact on them if the clubs are in the same situations.
Fox92 Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 It's disappointing given, not only our result(s), but our performances recently. I'm not just talking about last week, but in general as we have been impressive. Even in the Chelsea game - again, in London - which we lost. Sat listening to 5live and they're giving it the "beat Manchester United, lose at Palace", I've read it on here too, well that's football. That's Sport. If it was so easy as going out to play after previously beating Manchester United (or any of the top teams) then we would have won the top flight many years ago. It's not a "back down to Earth" feeling at all. Football is tough, and sometimes a bitter pill to swallow, as it is today, but that's why football is so great. Can't predict anything. Ask Stoke fans, one week they win at Manchester City and the next they lose at home to Leicester City. We have reacted well this season after the two defeats (including Shrewsbury) and at times when we have conceded. So it'll be interesting to see how we react next week. Burnley will be a tough test, they can certainly keep goals out, but it's (another) winnable game.
foxsake Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Well done Palace - a fair result on the face of it. We were losing battles all over the pitch. A shame we squandered our few chances but also good defending from the opposition. I'm sure Nigel and the team will be better prepared when they visit the KP.
LAprice_ Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Was very impressed with Bolasie. Not the most gifted player in the world but he looked dangerous whenever Palace gave him the ball. Reminds me of Lloydy. I think a lot of credit needs to be given to Palace. On the day, they were the better team. No need to overthink this game. Every team plays badly sometimes.
pazzerfox Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 I thought we played more like the home side in the first half. They were happy for us to have it and try to hit us on the counter attack. The second half display was poor, but there isn't many times we have said this over the past year or so. The disappointing thing for me, was the way we played after we conceded the second goal....There seemed to be no urgency or real threat going forward.
HoustonFox Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Danny had a really bad day in the office and we just lacked that half a yard of pace that we showed last week. The pitch looked very soft and heavy so I'm blaming the City groundsman for spoiling our boys by making the KP such a high quality surface.
