conLAD logan Posted 29 September 2014 Posted 29 September 2014 Think berahino and vardy might get in the squad for these games. just hope vardy doesn't do a nugent
st albans fox Posted 29 September 2014 Posted 29 September 2014 Surely Lambert won't get a look in you think ? bet he does. he plays for liverpool reserves dont ya know !
Humpy Posted 29 September 2014 Posted 29 September 2014 interesting post, but Saying we wouldn't want him anywhere near the England team wouldn't be something any Leicester fan would want to deny him the opportunity to have.Indeed, it could be the worst or best thing to happen to him this season, therefore it would be extremely selfish to hope he doesn't get picked to ensure it doesn't effect his Club form in any way, but that's how I look at it. The amount of times I've seen a player on top form go away on international duty only to come back injured or suddenly lose the form he was in before he left, it gets very frustrating after a while. We lost Jones and Liverpool lost Sturidge during the last internationals. I do believe he'll get call up before the season out but I don't think he'll be called up just yet, he's only played three premier league games. Me of course I'd throw him in straight away, but I'm expecting to see Lambert keeping his place despite the late poor of form. How is Lambert playing international football?

Samilktray Posted 29 September 2014 Posted 29 September 2014 Isn't it funny how we moan about players from other clubs getting called up despite not deserving it, but if it's 1 of our own we're all for it. I like Vardy but he doesn't deserve a england call up after 1 good game.

If they've seen last year's performances as well as Man U then they can probably see the potential in a call-up.
conLAD logan Posted 29 September 2014 Posted 29 September 2014 Matches his 1:1 goals per game ratio? I'd like to think he could play a.bigger part than just one appearance
Bryn Posted 29 September 2014 Posted 29 September 2014 No reasonable argument to call him up over Berahino.

Also not forgetting Dave Nugent in his only england appearance was picked when he was in the championship with Preston.
Aus Fox Posted 29 September 2014 Posted 29 September 2014 Saying there are to be 4 strikers in the England squad, who are the best 4? Rooney and Stuuridge (if fit) are without question. The next 2 spots: Lambert - hardly played, out of form Welbeck- goals against the Swiss should mean he is in. Berahino scored goals this season for WBA done well for U21s Vardy good last season one good game so far this season Crouch looking sharp got a couple of goals so far offers something different Anyone else?
Dan Posted 29 September 2014 Posted 29 September 2014 Probably going to be Rooney, Sturridge, Welbeck and Berahino. Can't see Vardy getting in just yet though they should keep their eye on him.

Crouch has no chance rightly or wrongly but I don't think he gets on with Hodgson.
Leicesterpool Posted 30 September 2014 Posted 30 September 2014 Crouch has no chance rightly or wrongly but I don't think he gets on with Hodgson. Crouch as got a good goalscoring record for England but as you say for some reason Hodgson doesn't like him.
Vardinhio Posted 1 October 2014 Posted 1 October 2014 I don't think he deserves a place yet, he needs to prove himself in the prem.
st albans fox Posted 1 October 2014 Posted 1 October 2014 Probably going to be Rooney, Sturridge, Welbeck and Berahino. Can't see Vardy getting in just yet though they should keep their eye on him. This Now, can we move on and stop pushing for our players to get international recognition where they have more chance of getting injured than spending the afternoon at the races!
Hawkers Posted 1 October 2014 Posted 1 October 2014 Sturridge now out. Who else are genuine options alongside Rooney and welbeck?
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 1 October 2014 Posted 1 October 2014 I can see Vardy getting called up. You have to factor in the quality of the opposition - San Marino an Estonia - which makes it more likely. His pace also fits in with how they play - well going by the Swiss game. Plus with Sturridge out... He needs a good game v Burnley tho. When is the Eng squad announced? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 October 2014 Posted 1 October 2014 Saido Berahino? I think he's nailed on for a call up to the squad and I reckon he'll get a cap next week, and more than likely a goal.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 1 October 2014 Posted 1 October 2014 Man United fan doesn't realise there's a really good, young player who's scored 8 goals in 11 games for the under 21's shocker.
AyewJoking Posted 1 October 2014 Posted 1 October 2014 Vardy scored against the biggest team in the league so he'll definitely be back up to De Foe who is a better soccer player IMO.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 1 October 2014 Posted 1 October 2014 If Sturridge is indeed out I think you'll be looking at Rooney, Wellbeck, Berahino, Lambert.
ADK Posted 1 October 2014 Posted 1 October 2014 Vardy would deserve a call up as much as Berahino or Lambert or Crouch, basically up to Hodgson but he's ultra conservative so I'm not expecting a call up for Vardy.
