Humpy Posted 1 October 2014 Posted 1 October 2014 Man United fan doesn't realise there's a really good, young player who's scored 8 goals in 11 games for the under 21's shocker. Eh?
GingerrrFox Posted 1 October 2014 Posted 1 October 2014 Sturridge, Rooney, Welbeck are the stand out 3 but after that you have Lambert, Berahino, Austin, Ings, Vardy, Kane, Gayle and Wickham. Ability wise they are all a much of a muchness in that none of them are real stand out players. I imagine it will come down to form at the time of picking the squad as in reality they aren't gonna play.
Dan Posted 1 October 2014 Posted 1 October 2014 I quite like Berahino. He's always caught my eye as a pretty good player. Seems to have the goalscoring record to back it up as well.
filbertway Posted 1 October 2014 Posted 1 October 2014 I've only seen Berahino play one game for the under 21's and he missed about 3 one on ones and an open goal which cost me a handicap bet. For that reason I hope he never sets foot on a pitch as a full England international.
johnny the fox Posted 1 October 2014 Posted 1 October 2014 http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/15231/9498081? Beagrie he say yes!
benpicko Posted 2 October 2014 Posted 2 October 2014 http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/15231/9498081? Beagrie he say yes! Vardy is quick, intelligent and brave and although he initially struggled to deal with his £1million price tag having arrived at Leicester from Fleetwood, he has dug in, believed in his ability and come out of the shadows of the brilliant David Nugent. I judge players on their effectiveness, not how easy they are on the eye, and I suppose tireless runner Danny Welbeck would be the player in the England squad whose game is most like Vardy’s. Jamie is a far better finisher than Welbeck – though it would take a brave man to put him ahead of Welbeck – and he would not let anyone down. Vardy better than Welbeck confirmed

Can anyone see a positive in JV being called up into the England squad. all the unknowns come into play if he does (including his state of mind and spending time with big time Charlie's). I would rather keep the JV we already have thanks. If he was going to play and make a difference to the national team then perhaps I would have to accept it but he won't so I don't! Don't do it woy!
Stevosevic Posted 2 October 2014 Posted 2 October 2014 If the West Brom lad is in the under 21 squad at 11am, good chance Vardy is in.
Carl the Llama Posted 2 October 2014 Posted 2 October 2014 I'd be very surprised if he got in. So would we all, thanks for the expert analysis.

kingcarr21 Posted 2 October 2014 Posted 2 October 2014 Could we really have vardy in the England set up with Berahino staying in the U21's. I will be amazed if this happens
Dickov22 Posted 2 October 2014 Posted 2 October 2014 It will be ****ing fantastic if he gets in. He's good enough
Stevosevic Posted 2 October 2014 Posted 2 October 2014 Who will be the 4th striker? We know its not Berahino, we know Vardy has been watched. Agbonlahor has started well also.
David Guiza Posted 2 October 2014 Posted 2 October 2014 I just cannot seeing it being Vardy, it'll be Agbonlahor or Defoe no doubt. Would absolutley love it if it was though - he'd be an instant trend on Twitter from opposition fans slating the decision also.
hairy Posted 2 October 2014 Posted 2 October 2014 I saw a kid in the park with a Vardy haircut on Tuesday. Imagine if it swept the nation. Lets hope he gets the call. He may not get to play but makes a step closer to playing in the Finals
Dickov22 Posted 2 October 2014 Posted 2 October 2014 Just arguing with a Palace fan on twitter now who says Campbell and Gayle deserve a call up more than Vardy does. Hilarious
Samilktray Posted 2 October 2014 Posted 2 October 2014 Just arguing with a Palace fan on twitter now who says Campbell and Gayle deserve a call up more than Vardy does. HilariousCampbell had a decent season last year and has started this 1 reasonably well too, I wouldn't be too fussed to see him get a call up.
FrankieADZ Posted 2 October 2014 Posted 2 October 2014 i'd be surprised if he got in tbh. probably be the normal fodder.
Banks Posted 2 October 2014 Posted 2 October 2014 Sturbridge isn't in the squad, it'll be Rooney, Welbeck and two other strikers to choose from, I really do reckon Vardy has a chance.
