QPR v Leicester City match thread

Usually don't get involved in the Kasper debate but I'm going to have to wade in now.

First goal you could maybe excuse because to make the decision to come and intercept that cross in the split second he got would have been tricky. However the second goal is pathetic goal keeping, I don't care what anyone has to say. I heard him shout "away" when the cross came in. The defenders are running full tilt towards goal and the ball is dropping 5 yards out, what does he expect them to do? Pisses me off so much when he just stand there, he's never going to react to a header into a corner of the goal from that range. And I played in goal a bit when I was younger to a half decent standard so I do know a bit about what I'm on about. May as well have Mr Blobby in goal at the moment.

You know, you go into this game against the bottom side in the table thinking "By the looks of it, our defense has made progress over the course of the past 2 to 3 matches".

You lead 1-0 away from home and basically beg them to score against you.

"Here, we've had one, why don't you go ahead and equalize? Here's the ball."

"Want another? Sure, we're in a festive mood today. Here's the ball"

Yep, crying out for another man in midfield, preferably for the invisible Ulloa.

Ps how shit is Albrighton if Schlupp plays instead of him.

Cambiasso is slow on defence. He's not covering the defenders, beaten too often.

Feel sorry for Wes because he was having a solid game before the own goal.

Kasper could and should have come out for both goals. At least dealt with them anyway. Not happy that the crosses kept coming in and we didn't learn to close them down quickly enough.

Also why does Pearson persist with De Laet, he's looked out of his depth all season.

This.

Moan about who you like, there has been one common link in both goals.  RDL has been at fault for both goals.

We haven't really taken our chances. Vardy has had two clear cut chances and mahrez has had one which a good player would have scored. Then we've had a few half chances as well.

Morgan is not captain material. Lost his head after the own goal. Second time he's panicked and put the ball in his own net too.

Here have another cross.

Here have 5 yards bring the ball down in the box and have a free shot!

Yet kept the same amount of cleansheets as Kasper................... in one game.

And it has nothing to do with the other 10 players or the fact Stoke contrived to be utterly woeful within 30 feet of our box? No you are right it was all down to one man who had about three saves to make all game all of which went down his throat.

Kasper might and does cost us, but nobody can sit here with a straight face and say Hamer is somehow a wonder keeper who will solve all our problems. He might solve one problem and then open up another 2/3. Look at his shot handling in the friendlies and first half at Stoke where he kept spilling the ball time after time.

People need to realise Ulloa is not ****ing Vardy, he wont be running his arse off and all over the shop. If he doesnt have service he wont be able to get involved - but clearly he's just a useless **** cause he doesnt run around like a headless chicken, we all know how much city fans will hate you if you dont do that

Have you not seen his ball control? There's a lot of merit to the criticism.

We all know what he can do but he has been poor.

The less mentioned about Schlupp and Schmeichel, the better.

lol

Reading through a match thread when you haven't posted in it can't half be funny!

Cambiasso sounds a class above..fair play to him. But is the formation leaving us too open?

Big 45 minutes to come. This could still go either way

I don't think we are "too open" col,

We are just absolutely useless at the back

Not good enough, we are simply relegation fodder.

Fans overrated our team & our chances this season. A lot of our squad are just Championship standard players.

We have done nothing against the sides we need to be beating.

Mahrez looks lightweight, Vardy needs to seize his opportunities and the centre backs are under a huge amount of pressure because of a lack of pace in the midfield two (though neither are playing especially badly), and because the full backs aren't anywhere near up to scratch. I don't think we play to our strengths when we sit back on a lead.

But we're not out of it yet. Save the recriminations for the final whistle, perhaps!

Don't you think that's a bit simplistic?

If the other 10 were doing their jobs as well we wouldn't be in this position.

Yeah it's simplistic. Let me say he's the prinicpal reason along with covering midfield. That's the payoff though when we have mahrez for his attacking abilities instead of Drinky.

I'd play Drinky instead of Camby too but that's another point people won't agree with.

At the match. Comical defending, we were just begging them to score. Kasper at fault. Schlupp is nowhere near good enough for this level. Vardy had to bury that chance.

QPR are a poor side but we're going to lose this, very depressing. Need a very good striker in January.
