The Year Of The Fox Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Me neither! But it is an interesting correlation. I suppose so if we hadn't won the league last season without him being on the touchline
Merging Cultures Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 I suppose so if we hadn't won the league last season without him being on the touchline Very different circumstances though.
Foxylady64 Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 anyone who ever wanted nige gone this year shouldn't be allowed to support the club imho what will you do when his time at Leicester is up......follow him to his new club!
Grewks Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 If you can't see the foundations he is building at the club, irrespective of results at times, then i don't know what you have been watching. We have the youngest most talented squad we have even had, and Nige built it.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 what will you do when his time at Leicester is up......follow him to his new club! I bet you rimmed Sven off.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 anyone who ever wanted nige gone this year shouldn't be allowed to support the club imhoWhat a daft thing to say
LCFCSOULBOY Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 I am afraid we are stuck with the arrogant tw.t now. His inept management skills will just cost us more games. Sorry but he is clueless at this level.

It's like there's a company out there selling them.

Sorry but he is clueless at this level. We're you saying that after the first five games, or after the hull - villa revival where we won 3 from 4, keeping 3 clean sheets? You crawl out of the woodwork after every defeat, but you ignore reality. This division was never going to be easy, and yet but for mike jones not paying attention in primary school science, and vertonghen getting away with murder on Vardy, we'd be outside the relegation zone - this division was always going to be a challenge after a decade away, there were always going to be times when we struggled, but we're still competitive at this level and can still easily stay up.

This has to be right! (?) - it certainly is for me. We have to keep believing it is possible to stay up.
MC Prussian Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 That's irrelevant though mate because he started Vardy instead of Ulloa or Kramaric. Terrible manager! He went for pace against Stoke, but it didn't work out. Well, it almost did if we had put away the few chances in the first half. Schlupp was knackered after 50 minutes or so. Still, it makes me laugh when people try to bring out that old adage about "having our most expensive strike pairing on the bench" as some sort of case in point whilst simultaneously being completely oblivious to the fact that they were benched for a good reason (or two). Kramaric in particular was nowhere near full-match fitness.
melrose Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 anyone who ever wanted nige gone this year shouldn't be allowed to support the club imho Sounds a bit like living in Germany in the 1930's
stox259 Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 I wonder who the Pearson out brigade would get in instead? Would you have Pullis? Did you watch the West Brom game last night?!? It was anti football. Flat back 6 and no intention of getting a goal. It was awful to watch and I am so glad I don't have to pay money to watch that football. West Brom will probably stay up but I want to see a game of football with at least some attacking intent. Pearson is a good manager. He's underestimated the squad but if/when we go down he's the best man to bring us back. When/if he does he will have learnt so much from this season and we should benefit from this. Otherwise you're sacking a good young manager and giving all his development. learning, knowledge, scouting network, back room team to another club (probably Forest when they realise Stuart Pearce is not a very good football manager). Try and look past your own nose at the wider picture. The club is solid under Pearson and his team. I genuinely believe in 3 years time Leicester will be in a great position if we hold faith in a proven (he has always succeeded throughout his managerial career) guy.

This - i guess it just illustrates that a number of posters to this forum are actively looking for reasons to support their position rather than making objective assessments

I agree, am a supporter of Pearson and don't think he should go. However he does portray a smugness and arrogance whenever spoken to by the media, which I don't think helps him warm to the average fan. Especially after such an abject performance as we had with Stoke - I mean he has already clearly showed in public how he feels with people who do not agree with him this season.
MC Prussian Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 Hope you realised I was joking. I know. The standard non-educated statement from some LCFC fans: "We had £20m worth of strikers on the bench. Pearson out!" *Gobble, gobble*
Manwell Pablo Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 I know. The standard non-educated statement from some LCFC fans: "We had £20m worth of strikers on the bench. Pearson out!" *Gobble, gobble* Not really non-educated that part is it, apart from the maths being incorrect. It's a statement of fact.
MC Prussian Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 Not really non-educated that part is it, apart from the maths being incorrect. It's a statement of fact. You know just as well as I do what some fans are trying to insinuate with statements like that, especially when they need to use it in order to criticize the manager.
Manwell Pablo Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 You know just as well as I do what some fans are trying to insinuate with statements like that, especially when they need to use it in order to criticize the manager. I've said it several times since Saturday. It's insinuating nothing I think most people are quite blatant when using it to illustrate it was a poor decision. Knee Jerk Pearson out posters are really annoying however at times like these the other end of the extreme really pisses me off. He clearly got it wrong Saturday, that doesn't mean I want him out, that doesn't mean I think he's a poor manager. But the lengths some people will go to to shield him from ANY criticism is just bizarre.
Suffolk exile Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 I cannot help but think what exactly those critical fans expected this season. Did they think that we buy an entirely new team in the summer or that the squad we had could be a greater force in the PL? Surely most of us could only really imagine us surviving - nothing more? Expectations need to be managed. Remember as it stands, survival is still possible.

I do not by any account, want Pearson gone. That being said it is easy to understand why people do when he talks to the media. I feel like he doesn't make the fans feel involved.
