We'll go down playing 442 every week, especially against top half teams. 4-3-2-1 suits our midfielders better, the only worry is Ulloa up top on his own. It's important that Mahrez and King link up with him and make runs beyond when he drops deep to collect the ball.

 

Albrighton is in for those quality deliveries into the box that we've seriously lacked all season.

Why are people leaving out Drinkwater?!!!!!!

Play the lad in his natural position- centre mid, not the right of that silly diamond and he is quality.

Would certainly like to see him back in the side. Hes not even getting a sniff from the bench.

 

Think we should give Cambiasso about 60-70 mins then bring Drinkwater on with fresh legs

This is Leicester we are talking about... we beat Man utd, we challenged Chelsea, we were more than competitive against The Arsenal and Everton.

We will win this!

2-0 to the Only Citeh!!

Oh I wish it was that simple, that feels a life time ago.

Something has to give soon, but can't see it being this one.

Like it Buzzer, I would like to give the 4-2-3-1 formation a try, but with Cambiasso in the more advanced role, with king and james covering. Is Ulloa injured? if so Nuge for Ulloa.

We would need to be incredibly lucky to get anything from this game. Man City have midfielders that can tear defences to shreds, we know ours isn't strong enough to contain them. We could be humiliated.

I thought about it, but the fact one can run and the other can't swayed me.  :D

Bit risky to play against Man City without a goalkeeper Babs.

I dunno, I've been told the extra man will mop everything up and stop everything... so I'm not sure we need the keeper.

I'd like to see us go back to the 4-3-3 we started the season with. If we are going to play 4-4-2 the wingers need to tuck in a lot better when we've not got the ball and track back better when the full back is up the pitch.

 

Then again we can't even do the basics of defending so it won't make any difference.

 

Drinkwater has to come back in. When we're on the ball I'd just like to see us be sensible with it and not give it straight back to them.

Man City can tear us apart no matter what formation we go with, as long as we don't shift too drastically to compliment them. 

Most of you called for 4-4-2 a la Mahrez a few weeks back and it failed just as much on impacting the result.. Either we stick with 4-4-2 and play our game of CA, or 4-5-1.

The reshuffling of Schlupp as LB and DeLaet back in as RB could give us some great pace on the wings backing up Mahrez and (who I assume to be Vardy or Allbrighton) 

 

Man City are not unbeatable, changing too much bringing in Hammond etc won't achieve anything but sideways and backwards passes. And Simpson looked so out of place vs Aston Villa it was unreal, the lad needs fitness and Man City isn't the game to get lackluster like he did vs the Villa.

Give me Schlupp up against him than Konchesky any day, say what you will about his technical ability. That's one of the battles I'd expect Schlupp to dominate to be honest.

 

In terms of team, I'd pretty much agree with all of that aside from Schlupp in for RDL. Maybe Drinky in for Hammond, but that one would be a coin toss for me.

Maybe I'm wrong then  :xmaslaugh: Everyone who's spoken about his injury seems to have indicated it was a longish one.

I don't know how you can have any confidence in Schlupp considering the amount of goals he's been at fault for. The man is an accident waiting to happen.

Quite possibly! Haha. Pretty sure Navas' main trick is knock it past the full back and beat him on the outside, think Schlupp can handle that.

 

Can we have two players, one on top of the other wearing a trench coat to try and handle Yaya?!

Out of the three available I just think he would be the best option. To be honest, it's clearly an area we need to strengthen so hopefully we sort that in January and the debate can end.

Yes thats the team I would like to see Nigel.P chose and try, even after the Man .City game.

Vardy to be the impact sub.Schlupp to go back to Lb.

Albrighton given time with Mahrez sliding over to the other side

Thoughts on starting Wood and Ulloa up front?

I know it makes no sense considering we can't cross for shit, and we should go 451, but this is about the only combination we haven't tried so far. And both are better finishers than Vardy and Nuge.

Just one striker and a link man/ number 10 is the way forward.

 

We dont have a number 10.
