ARM1968 Posted 10 December 2014 Posted 10 December 2014 Cambiasso won the ball back loads. Watch the match again. He was up and down like a yo-yo. I thought he was our best player to be fair. But each to their own.

Ric Flair Posted 10 December 2014 Posted 10 December 2014 I'm not sure how we approach this one, we desperately need some points but are we best to hope to make things horrible and hard for Man City or attack them and try and upset them that way? We've proven we cannot defend very well but there aren't many inferior teams who attack the likes of Man City and have a happy ending. We're neither good at defending or attacking right now so it's a dreadful position to be in. I can't see how we can continue to operate with only 2 central midfielders, not when our defence is so poor. We need re-inforcements. I loathe to drop Vardy because of his work rate but he's wasted out wide which is where he gets lumbered when we go 3 in the middle. If Ulloa is injured then Vardy has to play on his own with Mahrez and Albrighton or Schlupp/Knockaert. Kasper Simpson Morgan Wasilweski Konchesky Drinkwater King Cambiasso Mahrez Vardy Knockaert Subs: Albrighton, Nugent, Schlupp, Hamer, Moore, Wood, James
Stevosevic Posted 10 December 2014 Posted 10 December 2014 Get 3 in the middle in and make it congested.
KFS Posted 10 December 2014 Posted 10 December 2014 So, they could potentially play without Aguero, Kompany and little Dave?
Steve Earle Posted 10 December 2014 Posted 10 December 2014 IF, and it's a big if, Upson is ready for a start, I'd change my selection and go for a 3-5-1-1, with Upson joining Liam & Wes at the back, RDL and Schlupp as WBs, the obvious 3 in the middle, and Mahrez (or Vardy) playing behind Ulloa....worth looking at when Upson is fit anyway, with another new CB replacing Liam in January.
lgfualol Posted 10 December 2014 Posted 10 December 2014 David Silva back apparently *arsehole clenches*
fuchsntf Posted 10 December 2014 Posted 10 December 2014 mahrez has been woeful yeah he has been an option going forward but he has done naff all to help out defensively at least albrighton would do that. every game I have seen mahrez play this season he has got the ball tried too much fancy stuff and lost the ball instantly and not ever tried to win the ball back or track back just sits down and waves his arms about at the ref.Its ok having differing opinions, but like many poorly edited negative posters, you use a total misinterpretation to back it up.If he is losing the ball when attacking, then at least he is trying to attack and use his individual skills, to gain position and advantage for his team .Even top players lose the ball.As far as sitting down and waving his hands about, look at that young Mr Sterling, his complaining counts per game are more than his actual age. . I bet you are the first fan to jump up and down, when he goes on one of his successfull runs.Such players success and failures like all other positions, are dependant on teammates backing up, and positional sense when supporting, forward attacking movements.I for one dont believe, this notion that such players should be top recovering defensive players. Defend and track back, and follow your man down the line or channel when possible, yes, but this type of players are quick explosive players, not all have the lungs to explode or burst forward, then charge back into defence on a regular basis.
Sunbury Fox Posted 10 December 2014 Posted 10 December 2014 No Kompany, Yaya, Silva, Aguero in the starting line up for City tonight. No doubt the first 3 will start against us, knowing our luck. City playing 4231 as many of us on here want us to play from now on.
davieG Posted 10 December 2014 Posted 10 December 2014 Dzeko looking sluggish just tuning himself up for us having not scored in 9

Buzzell Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 Dzeko looking sluggish just tuning himself up for us having not scored in 9 I remember him against us in the cup down at the KP. Best man on the park. Brilliant player.
shailen Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 we cannot defend as poorly as we have been recently. A solid defensively display and an underfiring Man City and we could win this one. Would like to see us go for this game....goal difference isnt going to save us this season.
Donut Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 Man City put in a highly professional display against Roma, and with David Silva and Kompany to come back, PLUS the lift that qualification will give them, the task is even harder now
CountesthorpeFox Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 Konchesky is gonna have Navas in his back pocket, trust me.3-1 Leicester.Nugent with all three. One a penalty, one a header and one a rabona from 25 yards.
