davieG Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 http://www.turkish-football.com/leicester-city-burnley-after-transfer-listed-eboue/ Premier League sides Leicester City and Burnley have both held talks with Emmanuel Eboue according to Eurosport TR. Eboue has been placed on the transfer list and is expected to leave the Istanbul giants in January. Galatasaray are willing to part company with the Ivorian international whose contract runs out at the end of the season for a low fee. The Lions are looking to reduce their wage bill and squad size in January. The former Arsenal right back is yet to make an appearance for Galatasaray after being left out of the league and Champions League squads. The 31-year-old has been training with the Galatasaray reserve squad since the start of the season. Eboue joined Galatasaray in August 2011 for €5 million from Arsenal.
Donut Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 Simpson into the middle to bring in Eboue? De Laet to left back? I dont rate Eboue.
Ric Flair Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 This won't go away will it? Surely we don't need him?
dpjfox Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 there is something wrong with the defence as it is, imo lack of communication/organisation, something Upson was brought in for , maybe Eboue also has these qualities
ousefox Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 A player with Premier League and Champions league experience at top clubs and people are laughing him off. Right back is one of our weakest positions and he can also play right mid. Would not be a bad signing at all.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 Eboue is rubbish... if you're a top four club. For someone at our end of the table, he ain't bad at all
MPH Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 I would twist that round the other way and say that His agent has probably contacted us and Burnley as there was supposedly a little bit of intrest in the summer...
RowlattsFox Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 I said in the summer I could potentially see benefits of signing him but at same time see many negatives. It will just be a refreshed summer rumour though.
davieG Posted 16 December 2014 Author Posted 16 December 2014 I really can't see us spending time and money on another right back when we've got DeLaet signed until 2018 and Simpson until 2017.

ALC Fox Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 Versatile but we're already covered in his best position. I can't see Eboue really being much of an improvement on De Laet or Simpson really, even with his experience.
foxfanazer Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 Reputation as a bit of a donkey but you don't play at that level for so many years for no reason. Not really bothered either way with this one
MHC Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 The question is would you rather have Eboue at right back instead of De Laet or Simpson? For me the answer is yes. De Laet hasn't had a bad season and neither has Simpson when he plays but Eboue has got the experience we so desperately need.
VLC86 Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 there is something wrong with the defence as it is, imo lack of communication/organisation, something Upson was brought in for , maybe Eboue also has these qualities Hahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahha Can't breath
DeclanMC Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 We can get a decent chant going to the tune of I gotta feeling though. Eboue, Eboue, boue, boue. Guys? Guys?
