It's the reason why we signed Simpson, it's the reason why we signed Hamer and it's the reason why we signed Hammond, GTF and Philips. Either as resilience in case one of the starting 11 is unavailable, as competition to keep the 11 on their toes or to add something different as an option off the bench. The club doesn't just consist of 11 players and someone telling them what to do. It's not a difficult concept... Turning down players who aren't going to fit in even as backup players though, is something different entirely. Id be disappointed if we did go in for gestede, to be perfectly honest.

Squad depth Other than Hamer and Ulloa our summer was wasted your squad will never be stronger signing bench players. Sign first team players you automatically strengthen the bench. or are you going to tell me MON was wrong. You don't spend money (That includes wages) unless you think they are better than you have. I am not anti Nige but our summer whoever's fault was wrong. We should have bought in first team players not subs. How many players do we have now not good enough that we can't move on as contracts have been handed out. Young prospects is one thing when do you see the top clubs buying a sub. Strengthen from the front the arse end of the squad is automatically stronger

Vardy wasn't good enough for the championship...I wonder what changed? Good coaching, a run in the first team, new confidence etc.... If it wasn't for the fact that he would cost a decent whack i think he would be a good signing. We haven't got a striker capable of beating opposition defenders in the air on a regular basis.
