Cambiasso to start his managerial career?

Not sure he would want to give up playing just yet. Maybe at the end of the season.

He could still play at Catania though and it's a lovely place.

Think he'd have a bit more common sense than to go somewhere that a manager is in danger of losing his job after 10 days.

Can see him taking up a coaching job, of some capacity, at the end of the season though.

No point in City letting him go, he's off at the end of the season anyway (one year contract I thought).

If he really wants a European coaching job doesn't he have to get qualifications first?

If the manager they employed on the 19th of December has already been sacked then i would be hugely suprised if He chose them as his first foray into the management.

This could have some legs.

KP made a coment on talksport last week which was odd and made it seem either EC was only here till jan or we had a clutch of experienced players arriving then. Given the unlikely nature of the latter ...............

The report indicates they sacked a manager two weeks after his appointment when Sannino resigned. Clearly they aren't in a position to give a manager that much time so surely Cambiasso would be a fool to take that!

Possible but improbable, don't know what Italian for bullshit is.

Besides being a quality player,he is a real team/squad man, witness his reaction after Hull.

I can see why the speculation - this was first mentioned about a year ago. Partly because Catania is full of Argentinians. Pulvirenti is a big fan of Cambiasso.

Don't think it'll happen though. It's silly season in the sports media at the moment so everybody should take stuff like this with a huge pinch of salt. Old stuff getting dragged up maybe?

Ex-Watford boss Giuseppe Sannino resigned on December 19

This guy's a bit flaky isn't he, serial quitter.

Totally agree, With all he has won in the game you could see how much it meant to him at the end of the Hull game. A great pro and a fine example to our young players.

Lets face it Esteban is a clever bloke who has had a very successful and decorated career, he has never been relegated and never intends to be either. So realistically if he wants to keep his record intact he will expecting us to turn this season around or he will have to retire now and abandon the sinking ship. All the best in your future endeavours Esteban.

If never being relegated is a record he holds close to his heart then I doubt he would have risked joining a club among the favourites for relegation.

I think he'll probably stick it out until the end and then go and coach elsewhere.
