lee7 Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 An odd signing! It's always good to have competition though.
jimmeh Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 He will organise the defence well. Reliable schwarzer would never have let in that goal v spurs
stourbridgefox Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 If anyone wanted proof... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Schwarzer It's now on Wikipedia !!
fuchsntf Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Blimey, he's 42! improvement then!!!! Our players have been playing like 50yr olds.

Ross-Kemp Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 I have heard that Kasper doesn't take advice on board well, he tends to rely on his Dad for tips on techniqueWhereas both Peter & Kasper have come out and said he doesn't speak to his dad about the 'training side' of the game.
CosbehFox Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Think you're right Stan, Kaspers injury must be a bit worse than first thought. Pearson mentioned on the OS that he's three to four weeks away from a further assessment.
jammo_lcfc Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Conspiracy theory: 3 weeks ago we agreed a deal to sell kasper to a bigger club. Injury was announced to stop him playing and getting injured/suspended. Mark in for cover or replacement for kasper. Just a theory!

Pretty shit theory considering we need all the points you can get and your best players on the field dont you think?
NewburyFox Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Why on earth do we need him? Ben Hamer is fine. Because Kasper is probably out for a while and having to rely on Smith could be a disaster. I'm not sure where Mark will fall in the GK pecking order though.
MHC Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 This signing makes me think we are going to have a very busy January and sign 5 or 6 players as opposed to the defender and striker I thought we were going to get.
hornyhollthefox123 Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Please never read anything IndyKalia tweets. He just copies journalists. Notice john percy tweeted it minutes before hand. Same with every bloody story he supposedly hears from his sources!
Frank_mckenzie Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Would Pearson have been coaching at Middlesbrough when schwarzer was there?
gazfox9 Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Chill out peeps. Good signing IMHO. Will probably never get onto the pitch for us if Hamer remains fit and free from injury. He's a much better choice than Logan or Smith.
Stevosevic Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Would Pearson have been coaching at Middlesbrough when schwarzer was there? Still playing i think
Sir Fynwy Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Whereas both Peter & Kasper have come out and said he doesn't speak to his dad about the 'training side' of the game. That would be absolutely moronic, if you have a direct connection to one of the top people in any business you should use it to your advantage. I'm sure Kasper does but they wouldn't want to say they were undermining the coaching at his clubs.
Babylon Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Why on earth do we need him? Ben Hamer is fine.Because we need more than a starting 11 obviously.
Babylon Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Why can nothing happen without people needing to come up with a conspiracy?
Torten Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 I saw the headline "Leicester sign Chelsea goalkepper" and was like OMG PLEASE BE CECH SOMEHOW PLEASE BE CECH Was a bit dissapointed but Schwarzer is a solid keeper and could be a shrewd bit of business should he become the #1 and perform.
Robin JD Popley Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Let's face it - if Mark Schwarzer starts, he improves the defence 100% on what it has been so far this season. Chelsea would have hardly taken a punt on a 40 year old (as he was then) without him still being near to his prime. We all know Keepers only get better with age - look at his predecessor at Fulham; Edwin Van Der Sar. A very, very astute signing for both on and off the pitch.
