Livid Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Blimey, he's 42! We'll definitely be benefiting from his Premier League experience then!
Robin JD Popley Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Superb signing for us. Albeit in his prime, he still has the know how and long-term is the perfect fit for our goalkeeping team behind the scenes. Can you imagine how much Kasper and Ben will learn under his guidance? :)
roblcfc84 Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Ok so I didn't want to do a what I've heard, but what I've heard... Birch was in a pub in Rothley last week, and my dad caught some of conversation about some unrest in dressing room and Schmichael was mentioned. This signing has prompted me to mention it. Could he be on his way? Seems likely given this signing. Makes me wonder whether how legit the injury is.
MPH Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Erm, because hes chosen to spend his twilight years in the stands at Chelsea rather than playing or even warming the bench? He's had a stellar career. Hardly a mercenary either to leave the comfort of the chelsea stands for Leicesters stands! he might even have more of a chance of playing with us too!

Yeah he sneaked into hospital, got into bed, put a fake cast on then posted a picture on twitter as park of an elaborate plan.Or he's injured.
The Doctor Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Was a decent player in his prime - fully expect this is a deal like Chris Powell and Kevin Phillips, gearing towards coaching once he retires.
Babylon Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Forty-something mercenaries, just what we need. We all hoped Walsh's Chelsea connections would bear fruit and how they have! Thanks, that has confirmed it along with your match day posts. Looking for a reaction all the time. Sad.
Guest Col city fan Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Good signing Schwarzer still, I suggest. He could still do a job and has lots of experience. Definately as back-up.
johnny the fox Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Bye Kasper.. thanks for all you have done for LCFC.. I will always have a place in my heart for you...............
RowlattsFox Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Good idea to get in further back up as we may not have the opportunity again. Should be reliable if called upon and can offer advice.
BoyJones Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 He obviously doesn't need the money, just loves playing. When you get to his age, you would take any opportunity to play. Welcome Mark and good luck.
MC Prussian Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Mark Schwarzer - this season's Kevin Phillips.
lee7 Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 I say been 'linked' it seems that it's a done deal...according to 'indykaila' However I do not know how reliable this source is?
Captain... Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Sensible move after Jan we can't sign anyone until next season having a reliable experienced goal keeper, just in case, makes sense we'd be fvcked if anything happened to Hamer before Kasper comes back. I would also like to think his experience could help Hamer and Kasper progress.
RowlattsFox Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Will probably play tomorrow if he's been signed in time.
