tetly Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Happy with this looked ok last season when he got a few games. Loads of experience and will be calm in our battle against relegation.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Think this will be as back up for Hamer (who has come in and done very well considering IMO). Wouldn't be surprised to see Schwarzer in goal tomorrow as we can't afford Hamer getting injured with Schmeichel out for so long. Either way, a keeper of his experience around the place can't be a bad thing.
Stevosevic Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 He'll be on the bench I expect - the premier league is no place to drop someone like Smith in if we had to.
MPH Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Forty-something mercenaries, just what we need. We all hoped Walsh's Chelsea connections would bear fruit and how they have! How is that even fair to call him a mercenary? You can bet your bottom dollar that we were the ones who came knocking on HIS door
whitlock Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 I guess Hamer was signed as a number 2 and he is now currently our number one. Presumably the club had no intentions of him being good enough for Kasper's number one spot. Apart from some dodgy kicking, which we're all used to, he's been pretty solid. Spurs free kick apart.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Maybe time for Kasper to move on, because Hamer is in fine form, and I can't see Schwarzer playing third fiddle.

Either way, a keeper of his experience around the place can't be a bad thing. Won't be able to play tomorrow as the transfer window isn't open until tomorrow and the player has to be registered at 12pm the day beforehand. Wouldn't surprise me to see Smith, though.
Bamba's Babes Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 I've been so impressed with Hamer. Schwarzer was third choice at Chelsea and will be third choice at Leicester when everyone is fit. More chance of getting an outing here than at Chelsea. Good move for everyone involved I reckon, apart from Chelsea. Could it be a 'sorry' from Chelsea as they are loaning Kramaric to Vitesse instead?
ealingfox Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 How is that even fair to call him a mercenary? You can bet your bottom dollar that we were the ones who came knocking on HIS door Erm, because hes chosen to spend his twilight years in the stands at Chelsea rather than playing or even warming the bench?
Sir Fynwy Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 I was told at Hull that Kasper isn't going to be back for sometime
Mark_w Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Could it be a 'sorry' from Chelsea as they are loaning Kramaric to Vitesse instead? I don't think Chelsea would give a shit about signing him and loaning him elsewhere, why on earth would they need to apologise for it? We've signed him because we want him and Chelsea don't.
Donut Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Smart signing even if its just cover. Vast experience and age doesnt matter to a keeper.
Harry - LCFC Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Not often we make a signing with literally no mention of it beforehand. Decent signing I think.
kingfox Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Him & Kevin Phillips can sit on the bench wrapped in a blanket drinking cocoa.
TOMBlcfc Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 I'm confused. Schwarzer hasn't signed? At least he hasn't yet, no official sign at all. Would deffo prefer our two keepers over him as well. Might be a decent gk coack as previously stated but meh. Better cover than smith i suppose
Guest Kopfkino Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 I imagine its just til the end of the season which might indicate Schmeichel actually being out for the season or the majority of it. Good to have around too, been there and done it, plenty of experience which is just what we need
yorkie1999 Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Great experience. Playing for Leicester always is.
