38% possession for City ffs, great game great win and what a team spirit, bad challenge from James and Clarkes a fool for getting involved. Hamer 3 clean sheets in four with 2 dodgy pens, onwards and upwards......

I'm guessing a fine for both teams for the scrap at the tunnel, looked like some were having a pop at James.  He did better in the second half, showed a lot of grit.  I thought Knocky played well, it was good to hear him get praise several times for his defensive cover from the tv commentators (not Stringer)

If we can get those sort of balls to Kramaric then then he will have a field day.  I'm looking forward to more from Lawrence, seemed like he was overcompensating for the first miss by taking too much time.

Hopefully Palace get battered by 4 goals.

Glad knocky had a good game defensively. Maybe Pearson will consider him more. Especially against the poorer teams

Yes, he made a big effort defensively. Huge improvement.

5 pts from 13th and top signings on the way in.

James possibly slightly unlucky for the red, but no chance of it being rescinded, no real problem with him tbh. It was an honest attempt at a 50/50, much rather he go into a challenge like that on the half way line on 92 minutes than back out of it. Will it be 1 match ban or more?

That's because everytime we got the ball we broke and attacked, they built up play, knocked the ball about which ultimately led to nothing.

Well, the wingers who came in both played well. Nugent played well apart from his bloody misses. Defence looked pretty solid - 3rd clean sheet in 4 games. Other good news is we are creating chances. Kramaric would have at least had 2 today. Can't wait for his work permit to come through.

Very very very important win.

Regarding the CMs I assume Kingy will come in. Also, Drinkwater will probably be back and maybe Cambiasso. I'm not too worried.

Edit: Should have really had 4 clean sheets in 4 if it hadn't been for Mike "handball" Jones!

Seriously worried that James has concussion there. The guy steamrollered him with his elbow, straight to the head. I am not surprised he was angry. That's without mentioning the fact the guy clearly says something to wind James up.

Really don't think it's a red card in the circumstances. It definitely wasn't for the challenge, it was perfectly fair.

Hardly, he didn't lead with them. They were showing in as much as they weren't in the ground - unsurprisingly since he was tackling. It's a joke of a red, t'was an excellent tackle.

It was far from an excellent tackle. Had that been a villa player you would of called for his head.

It was a straight red tackle.

Plenty of worse tackles out there. But this one was on the red side of yellow

How the **** are villa still 13th?

Because the bottom 12 are pretty much the same level.

We can easily finish 14th or 15th.

Should of won by more.

Glad to get 3 points.

Was, Wes, Albrighton & Knocky- Quality

Nugent- frustrating.

James- woeful first half, better second half.

Terrible tackle & defo red- wish he swung for Clark though.

Good to see Lawrence get a run but defo needs to be more composed- probs being little judgemental.

Kramaric will hopefully make a MASSIVE difference.

Think that sums it up for me lol

Tbf that is irrelevant. If it's a bad tackle he should be sent off regardless. I didn't think it was a particularly bad tackle.

no its not. His eyes were on the ball, he got the ball and its as simple as that. It'll be appealed and rescinded.

Missed today through illness but perfect medicine and how great to see konch get one over those villa cnuts. Well done lads. Shit on the villa.

knockeart especially defensively was outstanding. albrighton was a pest, great balls into the box, cissoko didnt know what was going on. Midfield were immense as were the back four. Konchesky has been criticised and rightly so, for some of his recent performances, but today he was outstanding. How are we bottom? Not even close to being the worse team in the league yet we find ourselves bottom. Keep the faith! We will turn this around.

Agree it was a harsh red - but wont be rescinded I don't think. Refs in the prem are so inconsistent tho - if thats a red in addition to the other soft fouls he gave then how in gods name have we not had two pens and the second resulting in a red as well?

Bags of fight from a side that was short of four first team players in Mahrez, Schlupp, Cambiasso and Drinkwater. The only downside is that we should have been clinical in front of goal, another couple would really have helped in the goal difference stakes.

If only we could sign a player with a strike rate of 28 in 24 games with a hat-trick to his name against Feyenoord in the Europa League.
