Just a great team performance. Showed how together all the lads are.

the way the whole team got off the bench to go in on Clark as he went towards the tunnel was great. all for one and one for all.

"Villa got totally outclassed by a Leicester City club who played like they deserved their bottom-of-the-table position."

In that case, Villa deserve to be in League 1...

Loved their fans booing and singing negative songs about their team.

probs in the west mids.

That article states at the bottom that Clark was just trying to pick the ball up when James pushed him out of the way.

Football amazes me with what fans actually see.  Its much worse than Beer goggles and that can be bad!!!

it was poor compared to how we have been playing, but then again you can only beat whats in front of you. the defence was excellent though, i may have been a bit harsh saying we were pretty poor.

thought the two centre mids were very poor today though and nugent was dreadful in front of goal again. lawrence doesnt look ready yet too, his decision making is atrocious but you can see he's a decent footballer

Fair enough, I agree we have played better. Considering we lost 2 of our best players in recent games though I think we did alright. Onwards and upwards let's hope we get the same result against Stoke!

Poor game for quality from both sides, villa were awful, and their fans a disgrace.

We deserved to win and if it wasn't for nugents awful finishing the score would have been more comfortable.

We didn't play great but 3 points is all that matters, just a shame the results around us didn't go our way.

And man of the match for me was big was by a mile.

pretty poor display and we lacked a lot of quality in the final third. should have won by 3 or 4. but a win is a win and i'm ****in relieved we got it. villa probably the worst team ive seen all season, surely they're gonna be in trouble come the end of the season, they had absolutely no idea going forward

To be fair the lads that come in today they looked short of matches, and we looked like we missed they two away at the acon.

If we'd won 4-0 (which we could've easily) even those saying we were bad would be raving.

We played well and won comfortably. We have a problem with converting chances which is why we're getting finishers in during this window if we can.

Disagree.

Albrighton and Knocky played at least as well as Mahrez and schlupp.

I've just seen a comment saying Hammond had a poor game. Couldn't disagree more.

Still amazes me how some people judge a performance so totally differently.

Thought Albrighton had a good game, as did the defence.  Nugent was decent, Ulloa had an off day.  I was dissapointed with Lawrence when he came on, he didn't get the basics right and struggled, i'me sure he will improve though.

Anyone know what Pearson was kicking off about with one of the villa staff?

Seemed to be just after Knocky being fouled and rolling around on the floor.

Very pleased, great result although not without our problems still. If Krammy can be consistently less wasteful than our other forwards then we might just have a chance of staying up.

Eh? He's gone in strong but it's one footed, studs aren't up, hard to argue excessive force and he won the ball. It was a top tackle.

Seen it, and it was a shocking tackle. Most certainly a red card.

Should have beaten a poor Villa team by more, but I'm not complaining. We looked solid in defence for the vast majority of the game Simpson had his best game for us, MOTM though had to be Marcin Was didn't seem to put a foot wrong and when he needed to clear the ball he did

What delights me is that despite having the chances to score 4-5 goals, we didn't get punished for not taking our opportunities.

Encouraging that it didn't turn into one of those "backs to the wall, smash and grab" jobs. While we can play much better than we did today, we did more than enough to create chances and neutralise Villa – they never looking like scoring. There was a real gap in quality between us and Villa - in our favour.

In fact, as well as being deserved, it looked like a routine win. Which in our position – being bottom of the table – sounds ridiculous.

Much more confident after today! Things are looking good!

Also, always liked Villa but if I'd be a Villa fan, I'd be bloody worried. They looked awful.
