Stoke pre match

I see what you mean, but I would imagine any club would be the same. If it had been reversed and the game was at ours, you can guarantee a good portion of our fans would be goading the away fans as well as celebrating the promotion.

To be honest, I just like Stoke as they were my go to team on Fifa. Loved playing with big Ricky Fuller.

I don't think there was any goading of Donny - we focused on our own achievement

We actually wanted Donnie to score so they'd stay up!!!

Might have been different if we were playing someone like Brum though!!! lol!

A few stats

Leicester have lost just one of their last 25 home games against Stoke City (W9 D15 L1).

The Foxes and the Potters have met 79 times in the league with both teams winning 27 matches.

Leicester City scored from their only shot on target in their 1-0 win over Stoke in mid September.

Only Burnley (11) have conceded more headed goals than Stoke City (9) in the Premier League this season.

Mark Hughes' side have conceded a divisional high 48% of their goals from set plays this season.

25% of Leicester's goals have been scored from outside the box (5/20) which is the highest percentage in the Premier League.

Stoke are one of just two teams yet to pick up a red card in the Premier League this season (along with Burnley).

The Foxes' win over Aston Villa ended a run of six home league games without a win (D2 L4).

Wes Morgan has blocked more shots than any other player in the top flight this season (28).

Only Burnley (7) have conceded more goals from corners than Stoke City this season (6).

Much like the last 3 matches, have a really good feeling about this one. Hamer has already kept a clean sheet against Stoke once this year, and hoping AK can provide some finishing touches that we were missing against Villa. A 2-1 win and out of the relegation zone is my guess.

That'd be my mindset as well ha, well unless I personally disliked a donny fan. I still think if the situations were the same, it'd see a similar response from Leicester fans. I mean, getting promoted on the last day and ending up on the pitch in elation.

I suppose it's one of them though, if you were there then you'd find it more annoying and it's a justifiable reason to dislike Stoke.

Also on this game, no idea what to expect. Stoke don't like especially good at the minute. Bojan looks to be the only seriously dangerous player they have.

I don't see any reason we can't give these a good game and take the 3 points.

Unfortunately I don't think we'll have the hat-trick of away fans turning on their manager/ team/ owners/ each other. It'll be another tight game (although Saturday's shouldn't have been), I think we might just edge it.

Summary of Stoke pre-match press conference

-Never seriously in for Defoe.

-Not interested in loaning Wood out, would rather add to the squad

-No 'long term' injuries.

-Couldn't care less about the Ballon d'Or.

-Encouraged by positive performances, including some games pre-Christmas. Credits players for this.

-Stoke 'the type of fixture we've got to be able to manage'.

-Stoke are capable of playing 'really good football'.

-Not going to get carried away if we don't move up the table, providing we get a 'positive result'.

-Kramaric is a player we've looked at for over two years.

-If it's confirmed before the deadline he will be in contention to play. (Deadline is around midday tomorrow)

-Grounded, got a lot of humility. He's a player who will make the progression.

-To use a golfing analogy, he's an added club in the bag. Gives us a different option. Excellent finisher.

-Difficult to operate in January.

-Mark Schwarzer gives us flexibility, he's a capable goalkeeper.

-Players welcome competition.

-Other managers have said "I can't believe you are where you are!".

-All three teams in bottom 3 this time last season survived.

-Maybe or may not be more transfer business. You know how Nige is, he refuses to talk about other players. Slight digs at other managers who do.

I was there that faithful day(As were Mr.Alexipopopopops?Fez/Maybes etc...cue photo!!!!)

It showed their lack of class as they seemed to enjoy celebrating OUR relegation more than their own Promotion.

SCUM!

This is why we hate them so much

Owe them one for sure

Let's beat the flockers

Seems that Hammond has a knock, Cambiasso hasn't trained and James is suspended, so it looks like King and Drinkwater (who's been training) in centre midfield. Can't say I'm particularly happy with that partnership but it's the only one we've got.

Pearson’s Midfield Injury Boost

Nigel Pearson received a huge fitness boost ahead of Saturday’s home clash with Stoke City after revealing one of his key midfielders could shake off an injury in time for the game.
Midfielder Danny Drinkwater hasn’t played since the 2-2 draw with Liverpool on New Year’s Day where he limped off after 37 minutes with a groin problem.

Pearson has been short of central midfield options over the past few games with Drinkwater, Dean Hammond and Esteban Cambiasso all nursing injuries.

But Drinkwater, City’s Player of the Year last season, could return as early as Saturday having trained well this week.

"Dean Hammond's unlikely to be available, we will have to see how things go,” said the City boss. “Cambiasso has not trained fully yet. “Danny Drinkwater is training and in contention and Matty James is obviously unavailable through suspension.

"We've managed a hectic period with just one or two injuries. They're making good progress.”

Pearson also gave an update on the injuries of winger Jeff Schlupp, Kasper Schmeichel and defender Matthew Upson.

While Schlupp has a knee problem, Schmeichel continues his recovery from a broken metatarsal and Upson is edging closer to match fitness.

He added: “With Jeff, he’s making good progress. At the time we said 10 days to two weeks and he’s not far away, so that’s good for us.

“With Matt and Kasper, I couldn’t tell you. Kasper is still in his boot – I think we said from the outset it will be about 10 weeks before we can give you anything further than that and that remains the same.

“Again, with Matt, I can’t really say. He played an hour in an Under-21s game and he’s still not quite in the position where he can back that up – hopefully that’s pretty soon.”

What are the odds on Upson NEVER playing for us? I could of grown a new foot by now.

Basically upson is being paid to groom the young lads in the under 21s.

I'm pretty sure we will line up like this, even if Krama's work permit does come through in time.

Prediction: 2-1 win. We want (and need) it a lot more than them and I think that will eventually show.
