richard80014 Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 Can't believe many of you actually want Nugent in the team. He is garbage and continually wastes chances and then pops up with a rare outplay goal. Last season he was single figures excluding penos. Konch is garbage left back and yes he scored but he has given away many more goals than he has scored. At Liverpool De Laet was brilliant on the left but NP reverts to his old favs like always. Why are you calling for King when he is lightweight and only passes backwards. Come on lads if you go home and away like I do you will realise I make sense. For those of you who don't travel then stop reading the stats and thinking Nugent is good when he is a waste of a man on the pitch. Moan all you want about me but like Del Boy said -You know it makes senses Rodders !!!!!

Guest Col city fan Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 Because we are a better team with him in his moevement and workrate is second to none This... watch Nugent when he plays. He gives the opposition back four not a moments peace. I do admit he should convert more chances. But I think that will come. We have more of a spine back in the side. Wasa and Morgan are looking more solid, shielded by Hammond, with Nuge as the outball. All four, IMO, as important as each other. Its a TEAM game. Even the best players in the world function better when playing in a side that has shape and balance. Nugent INDIVIDUALLY is not a great player. But his team contribution matters.

How you can insult half the team after just winning i don't know..

Its a TEAM game. Even the best players in the world function better when playing in a side that has shape and balance. Nugent INDIVIDUALLY is not a great player. But his team contribution matters. This is all subjective and we all see things differently from our own point of view, so to that extent none of us are actually wrong. If we are better with NUGENT in the side then it may be that he must be the best of the best of a bad lot because I personally don't rate him and if we've one with him in our side, imo, it's despite of him not because of him. I don't fall for his work rate because whilst he may pump his arms up and down he isn't getting anywhere useful fast. He often appears to make himself look busy in an area where there is no chance of him effecting the game or getting in a position to receive a pass and I don't fall for all this 'link play' guff either. The law of averages makes sure that all players on the pitch might get to actually touch the ball occasionally! Take Saturday and forgetting any scoring chances he wasted, how many times, particularly in the first half hour, would someone actually pass the ball forward towards him and it was if Nugent wasn't awake to the possibility? Loads that I noticed, it was if he was on drugs! How many times did he waste the ball on the few opportunities he got to pass it to one of his own players? Loads! Just watch his half-hearted meanderings from one side of the pitch to the other without ever getting even half a challenge in or covering one of the opposition so that they can't receive a pass, his movement is aimless. I think he's a craftily lazy player who serves no purpose whatsoever. Great goal against Liverpool and a couple of classy goals pre-season but again, with the many hours he has on the pitch the law of averages again accounts for even him to actually get one occasionally! I'll perhaps get slated for this but its just how I see it. I'd far sooner see Wood get a start who, if nothing else, will get a shot of given half a chance. As for Vardy, whilst admittedly he's struggling somewhat, his industry make Nugent appear pedestrian.
sylofox Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 http://oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/239234/team-leicester They seem to be hoping they will have Dzeko in for the weekend?

Lcfcwigstonblue Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 Same here. Burnley, Hull and QPR are by far the worse teams in the league. WBA could go down if they sell Berahino. The Stoke game is a big one. Great form in the last three games must be capitalised with another win. It will show the rest that have already written LCFC off. It won't be easy though. Never liked Stoke. A hard hitting team. QPR, Villa and Hull for me
roblcfc84 Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 Sunderland for me, dreadful going forward. The fans up here are really worried.
zak_lcfc Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 Another massive game, they're a solid team but are missing some players as are we but are still capable of playing well when they are up for it, hopefully we carry on with this great play we've shown in this run and I can't see us losing if we do! Nugent has to be in the team for me, yes he doesn't score many goals but what he does in other aspects of the game has been invaluable, same can be said for Hammond, we pick up more points with him in the team, those are the players that do the more gritty work but it makes a massive difference in how we play, the only issue is the starting 11 if Kramarić can play at the weekend but I'm sure Pearson has a plan so it's over to him, it's a nice headache to have for us instead of being worried about not having enough players available!
kingofgames Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 finally our time has come for revnge against dirty filthy scummy stoke (no offense) for sending us into leuge 1 we will provale!!!!! come on Leicester!!
Nick Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 6-1 Leicester Kramaric comes on at 65 minutes and nets an own goal. Our scorers, Morgan, Konchesky, Waslowski (Hat trick) and Albrighton.
Ric Flair Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 Never thought I'd say this but we really need Dean Hammond to be fit for Saturday as I'm not convinced Drinkwater and Cambiasso work well together as a 2. We'll seldom play 4-5-1 at home but I hate the way Stoke play and with only 2 central we might get over-run like we did at their place first half.

Unabomber Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 Are Hammond Drinkwater and Cambiasso fit for this?
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 Are Hammond Drinkwater and Cambiasso fit for this? I think the question should be which CM's are fit and avilble for this.
MrSpaM Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 It's amazing how many people follow Croatian football enough to know that Kramaric will fit straight into the side. I'd prefer to see him live first. Asking him to lead the line, for a new club in a new country, after only a few days, is a big ask. Then again, this time next week, I might think differently. Hopefully he will be everything we hope he is. You don't spend 10 million on a striker and not play them
st albans fox Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 He's been on a winter break. He cannot be match fit. Surely he won't be thrown straight in for fear of a muscle injury. Late sub I think depending on the numbers from his fitness drills. Possible he won't even be on the bench is those aren't good enough. Stoke - won at Spurs, Everton and Man City so far. I doubt they are worrying too much about coming to the KP !
