Anyone see that first wicket? That is some ridiculous swing.

It was a super delivery.

Reminded me of Simon Jones to Clarke in '05 a little bit - albeit a different stump.

Had more than enough time to bowl them out already.

Bit of a disgrace they weren't all out for single figures in the rain delayed 45 minute morning session; pitch was doing all sorts!

Cook and Moores out!

stokes seems like a decent prospect but he needs to lose the attitude a bit - the sledging of Samuels (103) shows how pointless this unattractive and pervasive   Australian inspired feature of the game has become. Broad and Anderson  are as bad and I would like to see it curtailed

How funny was Samuels send off to him yesterday? lol

This has been a near perfect performance so far from England, hopefully can pile it on at a decent rate today and then send them in. Mooen is going to have to bowl far better though second innings as the pitch is going to be very dry again.

Good to see Cook get some runs and look more fluent, need Buttler to tee off this afternoon and get 200+ ahead around the midway point of the second session.

Root is a delight to watch.

Need to score quicker than we have so far and gives us as much time as possible to bowl them out. Gamble with a lead of 200 and if they get past that we've still got a chance of knocking off any additional runs to win.

If buttler bats most of this session we could have enough by lunch.

Great to watch, my concern still remains our bowling simply isn't good enough against top batsmen, the bowlers coming through would get (have been) slaughtered by the Aussies, South African's etc...

Thought it was hilarious, The Telegraph obviously didn't agree as they called it one of the most cowardly acts in Cricket  lol

What has happened to Stuart Broad with a bat in his hand?

He used to be a handy lower order batsman, but these days he's an absolute bunny.

Posted

He suffered a broken nose last summer whilst batting and is struggling to cope at the crease again.

I don't think his batting has progressed at all and he's been relatively poor since before the Old Trafford Test last year.

Some of his scores in the first few years on the scene are a distant memory. I think most people would agree that he's hasn't really fulfilled his potential as a lower order batsman. I can even remember when he was being hailed as the next Freddie Flintoff.

What a morning session. 84-6 in those couple of hours, West Indies basically 121-8.

Some top fielding in there, Cook getting a reflex catch after Bell dropped and Anderson throwing a direct hit from way out.

disappointing line-up for today, why bring Lyth and Rashid if they aren't going to get a chance against a poor Windies side.

They could be piling on runs and taking wickets for their respective counties.

Trott fails again, got to question bringing him back at all, we have to be preparing for the Ashes series this summer and he if he is opening he will be targeted by the same bowlers he faced when he had to leave the last tour. Maybe bring him as back up and open with Lyth/Robson/Compton. Also when did Trott become an opener? Coming back from a stress related problems, not promote you to the top of the order where you will be under more pressure.

Strange all round from England.

Trott situation weird, no idea why Lyth hasn't been given a go, clearly don;t think he is good enough.

Need a captains knock here now, 3 down isn't good on this pitch.
