Guest MattP Posted 28 August 2015 Posted 28 August 2015 The girlies are on before the match Monday so hope they chase this tonight and we'll drop in to cheer them on to an ashes defence.
marko Posted 28 August 2015 Posted 28 August 2015 The girlies are on before the match Monday so hope they chase this tonight and we'll drop in to cheer them on to an ashes defence. You'll be lucky. Pathetic attempt at chasing a meagre 108 thus far.
Guest MattP Posted 28 August 2015 Posted 28 August 2015 Need to realise they have a lot of time to get this.
marko Posted 28 August 2015 Posted 28 August 2015 Looks like you can have a couple of extra pints in the pub instead.
Corky Posted 31 August 2015 Posted 31 August 2015 Some glorious big hitting. Not slogging, just perfectly timed and elegant.
Swarles Barkley Posted 31 August 2015 Posted 31 August 2015 hilarious dimissal for watson. Still, at least it wasnt lbw
Corky Posted 31 August 2015 Posted 31 August 2015 5 run win. 4th "series" win out of 5 this summer. Superb.
purpleronnie Posted 31 August 2015 Posted 31 August 2015 5 run win. 4th "series" win out of 5 this summer. Superb. Great game too.
fuchsntf Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 So 2 ODIs, where the hell has this positive no fear cricket gone. Hales fails 2nd time with pussy shot. Stokes as lost his mojo Butler fails again Ali fails again ENglands middle order have gone back to playing non-thinking dribbling cricket. No attacking-nous The NEW middle order aussie boys both with ball and bat , are making England look terrible. Englands discipline has been shown up once again. Not because they are losing but their wimp performances.
TheSomersetFox Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Buttler's had a terrible summer, surprised his spot isn't being questioned as much as others
surrifox Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Agreed - living on past glories - Bairstow should have played these games
Lionator Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Same old Aussies always cheating Absolute rubbish, Stokes knew what he was doing. I don't buy the protecting himself theory too, who protects their face two metres to the left of it?

surrifox Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Hmm you think so ? Clearly Morgan didn't and most people having a cricket ball flung at them from 16 yards would do what stokes did instinctively . But think what you wAnt I can't be bothered debating it

I think for me the telling factor is that Stokes' hand is soft when it hits him, if you're protecting yourself then your hand will be naturally tense.
Guest MattP Posted 8 September 2015 Posted 8 September 2015 Roy could end up getting the openers gig ahead of Hales if they are picking on this series.
Swarles Barkley Posted 8 September 2015 Posted 8 September 2015 Christ how are we struggling to get to 300. Since morgan went, weve batted awfully. Any danger of taylor getting any boundaries
ScouseFox Posted 8 September 2015 Posted 8 September 2015 We were 200-2 with about twenty overs left and struggled to get 300 nice
surrifox Posted 8 September 2015 Posted 8 September 2015 agree- we looked terrible stumbling about in those closing overs losing wickets and attempting stupid runs- if our new coach is imparting a new winning approach to 50 over stuff it's not too much in evidence. Well done Taylor , Roy and the skipper - now lads lets bowl properly and try to win this one
