Suffolk exile Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 Just been pondering which former player you think would make the difference to us this season, if we could sign them now? For me I had a shortlist; Walsh Lennon Muzzy McAllister Lineker Any thoughts?
Suffolk exile Posted 19 January 2015 Author Posted 19 January 2015 Junior Lewis would improve our midfield. Harsh - but very funny!
Fox92 Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 Izzet. Creative, box to box, tireless. Without doubt.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 Garry Parker to pick out perfect passes and set pieces.
broughtonblue Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 Yakubu, and he's still only about 27! All he ever did was score
Fox92 Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 Yakubu, and he's still only about 27! He's 32 but I get your point. Still knows where the goal is.
Suffolk exile Posted 19 January 2015 Author Posted 19 January 2015 Garry Parker to pick out perfect passes and set pieces. Another really good call!
ronnup Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 Might be a bit leftfield but Savage. Used to work tirelessly to break up opposition midfield possession but also we need some sort of determination and fire in the belly. More sensible option would be Lineker given the chances we are wasting.
Guest bss9401 Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 For me it's Gary Lineker. He was so quick and read every pass and cross before any defender. It's what made him world class and he would get 20-25 goals, even in this team.

For me I had a shortlist; Walsh Lennon Muzzy McAllister Lineker Any thoughts? They could all walk in but I'd like to see Neil Lennon. The opposition would have a much less comfortable time on the ball in midfield. Play him with Cambiasso.
Bert Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 Muzzy without doubt but even though he's not on the list, I would say more than anything we need a Matt Elliott type figure right now.
RoboFox Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 Berner at LB & Izzet at CM You misspelt "Sinclair" He'd get us a few goals... Albeit at the wrong end of the pitch.
AKCJ Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 We need a leader, someone that can pick up the team and drag us through shitty games like the one we just had. Muzzy would be ideal.
AdamN Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 Steve Guppy Some good shouts so far, but I reckon this might be the best 'less obvious' option. Would sort out the left back problem (him and Schlupp could be interchangeable on the left) and we'd have someone who could consistently stick a ball on Ulloa's head.
WillyP Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 Collymore? Might bag a few goals. Probs could do with Muz for the creativity though.
Fatbloke Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 Lennon Cottee Elliott (just to get him off the bluddy radio) :-)
Danno Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 Yakubu, and he's still only about 27! All he ever did was score
