CharlieCharles Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 Looks like they dont give a **** he ran back in the last minute. Surely he's gone then? Shame as I wasted loads of perfectly good jizz when we signed him. I remember someone saying the same about Waggy
49er Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 Sampdoria aslo interested according to sky sources PAOK from Greece may also be interested. Their coach, Igor Tudor, is from Croatia
Medwayfox Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 I think it's crap that we will persist with Inler and Okazaki who are in their early 30's and late 20's respectively and haven't been anything but poor to mediocre so far; yet won't give this young guy a proper go when he came here in good faith when he could have joined other clubs in a much better situation at that time. Sucks.
Psihobambi Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 I hope he gets his farewell against B'mouth. Won't be likely, but hey.. Want to see him in Leicester shirt one more time even though he might come back
Finn Claw II Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 Get him on loan, offer him to Norwich or Bournemouth - end of the season reassess
gurru991 Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 I trust Claudio & staffs judgement implicitly, if they don't think that Kram is capable then I'm good with that. Move him on and bring in a replacement.
MPH Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 Terrible move if we sell him for a loss. It will be tough getting back what we paid for him..... he's hardly kicked a ball for 6 months....
Guest Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 It will be tough getting back what we paid for him..... he's hardly kicked a ball for 6 months.... So we keep him and loan him out.
GaelicFox Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 It will be tough getting back what we paid for him..... he's hardly kicked a ball for 6 months.... We won't get 50% of it back !
Troop3r Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 http://www.vecernji.hr/nogomet/andrej-kramaric-iz-leicestera-bih-otisao-samo-zbog-nastupa-na-ep-u-1048101 Interview for Croatian press , ill translate it quickly for you.. Sorry if my spelling is off ... After 3 months of sitting on a bench you got a chance to play at Anfield where you replaced Marhez at 79. min. - Yes, i finally played, its like some kind of a little Christmas present - but thats not it. I would like to be regular in the squad, i feel i can do it, i am ready and willing to play.. You played for the first time on Boxing day, what was the feeling playing during "Christmas holidays" (dunno how u call the day before christmas ) ? -Its a bit unusual, but only until the game starts. Then its like any other game. But you can feel by the atmosphere before the game and around the stadium that its something special, you can feel that cosy, festive atmosphere. Apart from that i played on the special stadium, Anfield is legendary place and you really get the chills when the fans sing "YNWA" before the game. This autumn you only played 27 mins in League (Arsenal and Liverpool). Did that ever happen to you during your career? -Never, i dont remember ever "warming" the bench like this half-season. But i have to deal with that. We are first in the league, the "hit" of the season, Vardy and Marhez are playing fantastic and scoring goals, so i dont have any arguments to be angry. I just gotta patiently wait for my chance. Against Liverpool you showed some good defensive play, running back and saving a goal? -Ah, when i got the chance for that last ten minutes, i tought to myself, at least i will run a little , so thats what i did. I didnt score that game, but at least i saved one Ha ha We talked to your manager, he told us you have a lot of offers, even Paok would like to see you in their squad? - Honestly, i know the least about that offers. I didnt think about leaving Leicester, im patient and i will see what is the best for me. I would like the most to stay in Leicester and play, but all options are possible. But what is the Clubs opinion, would they let you go, at least on the loan? -I dont know, i really dont know. I didnt talk to anyone about that subject lately. About a month ago i talked a little with coach Ranieri, but noone said anything about a loan. You would surely get a chance if the club sold Vardy or Marhez during winter, but they released the statement that thay are not for sale. -Thats a good call. If i was the president i wouldnt sell them either at the moment! Leicester is not a poor club (financialy) and never in the history were they such a serious contender for the title. I dont wanna sound cocky, but if we dont finish first, Champions League spot should not slip from us. Do you (Leicester) have the strenght to fight for the title till the end? -Yes. I am convinced we have. But you can never make a predictions like that, Premier league is the strongest in the world and upsets are always possible. For example we tought Arsenal will take advantage of our blunder, but they lost 4:0 to Southampton. Here anyone can win against anyone ( this sounds off ) , there is no game where the winner is known in advance. Croatian coach said that he wont be taking players to Euro based on the old credits, but only those who play and are in form. Are you concerned? -I will give my best to play on EURO, its a big wish and honor to play for the national squad. So soon i will have to make some moves. If i talk to the chairmans of Leicester about a possible loan, i believe that they will understand my thinking, and that the only reason i would ever eventually leave Leicester, at least temporarily is my wish to play at the EURO. The rest is about the group on the EURO with Spain, Turkey and Checzh Republic and the Croatian league. Now im off to drink and celebrate. Happy new Year to all of you..
The Doctor Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 Sounds like he's staying if it's up to him then
GingerrrFox Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 He deserves a chance against Bournemouth. Okazaki and Ulloa have not pulled up any trees playing next to Vardy, let the lad play. He clearly wants to play for us and wants a chance to shine.
Thracian Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 At least his attitude sounds encouraging and his contribution against Liverpool was at least a positive to mark on his slate. I don't think "deserving a chance" comes into it. Ranieri is a thoughtful manager and he will pick the team he believes most suited to winning the game - or not losing it if that's his priority. At least Kramaric might have worked himself into consideration but much now will depend on the number of new signings and how quickly and effectively they fit into the squad or otherwise. I've still not seen anywhere near enough of Kramaric to judge his value to us but surely the bloke must have something to have justified such a high outlay. But then fees so often give people the wrong impression - as Manchester United might readily testify.
J.Lisemore Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 He deserves a chance against Bournemouth. Okazaki and Ulloa have not pulled up any trees playing next to Vardy, let the lad play. He clearly wants to play for us and wants a chance to shine. Yep, totally agree. I really hope he's given a start against Bournemouth, we haven't found a good enough partner for Vardy yet and this lad deserves a run-out.
Richmondfox Posted 1 January 2016 Posted 1 January 2016 That's a very positive and honest interview, doesn't seem twisted by mistranslation like others have in the past. I would like to see him have a real chance, not just scraps when the play has turned into punts from Kasper. Kram would benefit from those perfect weighted balls in space that Mahrez creates. I feel he is a better long term option rather than someone like Austin, who I don't think will work in our team unless we change the style of play and move Vardy, which i'd never want to happen. I don't think anyone on here wants our players to be a failure but some more than others like to say I told you so when it isn't going right. The problem is most teams will struggle to sign/keep happy and justify paying for a top striker to sit on the bench while their current in form main man who the team and style is built around is first choice. I'm warming to the idea of Shane Long but would prefer Kram long term.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 1 January 2016 Posted 1 January 2016 Fair play to him, saying some decent stuff in that interview. I want him to stay and do well for us personally. Of course, if he moves on then I can understand why but I'd like him to stay with us certainly.
49er Posted 1 January 2016 Posted 1 January 2016 In the following interview, he states that his preference is to stay with us but he is concerned that his lack of involvement may hinder his selection for the Croatian national team at the Euro Championship finals in France. He understands why his chances have been limited, due to the great form of Vardy and Mahrez. He hasn't considered leaving but he may need to consider other options. http://www.hrvatskareprezentacija.hr/andrej-kramaric-naginje-za-francusku/
CharlieCharles Posted 1 January 2016 Posted 1 January 2016 He really does offer something to the team, i believe over a season he would certainly score more than Ulloa and Okazaki. 9.7M and he has started 6 times for us in the league, its ridiculous. His scoring record isnt really even that bad considering the time he has played, match it to Okazakis and its about the same. has to start against Bournemouth for me, give him 90 minutes and let him show everyone what he can do.
johnny the fox Posted 1 January 2016 Posted 1 January 2016 I rate the lad..it would be no wonder if he has lost a bit of confidence after so long...no doubt he has the ability.
yag101 Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Whilst Pearson did finally manage to stumble upon the right way for our players to play, Ranieri has added some of his own quality to the winning formula. You have to commend the man for retaining the existing structure and backroom staff, many managers would let their ego destroy the club. His man management has been undisputably excellent, the morale is better than ever. Tactically he's fairly astute, subtly adjusting to teams when necessary. He's done his bit fixing our leaky defence, we've conceded 8 over our last 10 games. Irrespective of his qualities as a manager, just the fact that he has an international reputation has a huge influence on the level of players we can buy. I seriously doubt Kante would've come to this club if Pearson was still in charge.
Vardinio'sCat Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Gotta feel sorry for him, and he is still showing a lot of respect for the club with his positive attitude. I'd certainly play all the players who are not getting much action against Spurs in the cup.
Guest Cujek Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 really wish he would start agains Bournmouth, i doubt he will be in the sqaud though
