VLC86 Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Saw a tweet from Di Marzo last night suggesting a host of Italian teams are after him. I would be very surprised if he is here on 1st Feb, hopefully we spend the money wisely!
Thracian Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 I remember us all writing Vardy off during his first season saying he's not good enough blah blah blah. That one turned out OK. Fact is we don't know how good Kram will be unless he gets a decent run of game and a bit of confidence. I hope he gets his chance but it's not as simple as that when we're at the top. Kram's problem is that even when he's had chances and half-chances he's not grasped any of them. Even now - and at other times - his agent's reportedly banging on about him going here or there instead of his client focusing on actually getting into our team. It's not as if there are no vacancies. But, with Mahrez providing goals/assists in support of Vardy we don't naturally use a second striker. We use Shinji in a sort of forward-looking central midfield position to take advantage of his hassling. I've still to be convinced of his value in the role but if anyone else were offering a better option on the training ground I feel sure it would be welcomed at least off the bench on occasions - even acknowledging that the club might see Shinji as a bit more equal than others. But there's no signs of it and I can only conclude that the manager either doesn't see Kramaric as sufficiently equipped for The Premiership or sufficiently committed to the cause. Lots of people have talent. It's a matter of applying it effectively. And that starts on the training ground.
Psihobambi Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Just want to see him play atleast 60 minutes in an attacking minded, first XI team. That's all I WANT TO SEE
simon789us Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Hope we give him a chance lot of money just to throw away if he doesn't cut it loan him out got a feeling he will come good
lcfc278 Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 I agree that he hasn't really taken his chances when he has got in the team. I watched him start and play against West Ham in the LC. I don't know whether we have been spoiled by the likes of Vardy and Okazaki's work rates, but he just did not seem to put any effort into getting the ball or running into space either, he just waited to be gifted the ball and then offered very little when he had it. Due to the amount of money he cost us and how highly rated he is overseas, I'd still like him to get another chance, possibly tonight against City, and hopefully he puts some effort into it!
Buzzell Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Fuch it. Throw him in the deep end and start him up top tonight with Vardy.
Medwayfox Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Give Kramaric a go from the start tonight against Man City in place of Okazaki or Vardy - if he is unfit. Even after one full game against quality opposition we would be much clearer as to whether he can offer us anything in the long run. Okazaki has had his chance over the last months and only gets C+ in my opinion.
Jordan Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Fuch it. Throw him in the deep end and start him up top tonight with Vardy.I'm hoping that, from his vantage point on the bench, he's taken plenty of time to study Jamie Vardy and learn that it's OK to put your foot through the ball when you shoot.
Chelve84 Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Got a sneaky feeling we going to change the team a bit tonight. Can see us going 4411 playing kram upfront with mahrez behind him. Can see dyer coming in to freshen it up. Second half i think we will see vardy and drinky come on to have a real go at them
Webbo Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Fuch it. Throw him in the deep end and start him up top tonight with Vardy. Give me a go while we're at it too. There's only 3 points and potentially millions pounds at stake.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 I'd rather loan him to one of the sides in that Italian article than sell him, just to see how he gets on, give him some games and a bit of confidence. He'd do well to go to Lyon, should get plenty of chances in a division that isn't complete dross. Doubt he'd see much more playing time at Watford than he would here given how Deeney and Ighalo have been playing. I'm 50/50 on him on the whole but I think it's a little premature to just bin him off completely, especially when we're in a position where we can just farm him out to see how he gets on.

I'd rather just play him. Okazaki and Ulloa have gone large periods of games/spells where they've contributed very little in goals or assists and we've still won matches so I can't see why Kramaric can't have a go, very frustrating. Play the twat.
Dr The Singh Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 He needs alot of game time, to built his strength, and confidence. This is our biggest chance of getting into the top 4, I doubt Claudio will want to gamble on a player that has played so few matches. As many have said, loan him, bring him back when he is confident.
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 If we are gonna start him he MUST have a run in the side. He won't just click. It's so rare that any striker just comes in and looks great having had so little game time.
Charl91 Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 He really hasn't had a fair crack at it. None of us know whether he'll be good or abysmal, because he hasn't really had the time to show it.

pSinatra Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 I hope he gets some decent minutes tonight. I've lumped a whole pound coin on him scoring the last goal & us winning 3-0 @ 200/1
ronnup Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 A victim of our success. He's never going to get a run out really unless things don't seem to be working. If it is working, why would he get the run? Not a new dilemma in football bit frustrating for him. The talent is in keeping him working hard in training and hungry to impress. Hard to see that he's been impressing a lot in training with his work rate it attitude when he's 4th choice.
Finnegan Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 So much written about a player we've barely seen, always the same on here. Don't know where people get their hugely polarised views from sometimes. Strikes me as a kid that needs a massive amount of confidence right now. Clearly has some ability on the ball and appears to have become a better athlete since he arrived. Saying anything other than that is just guesswork but I trust the manager.
Buzzell Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Give me a go while we're at it too. There's only 3 points and potentially millions pounds at stake. Well how on earth is he supposed to push himself into the team without getting a decent opportunity? It's not as if Ulloa and Okazaki are playing outstanding atm is it? Give the boy a chance, give him the game time he needs. He's not going to impress anybody by sitting on the bench.
Rasmic123 Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 he's not a terrible footballer, i dont think anyone is suggesting that. But, when he's played this season (granted i didnt see the liverpool game so cant comment on that) he's not put in a full shift and has looked lazy. In the bury game he looked like he couldnt be arsed to be there which is not something i want to see from someone wearing the shirt, you should put a shift in regardless of who we are playing. Against west ham in the cup, he looked cocky with his finishes and touches which again, is not something i want to see. If he plays like he did in those two games where he had two great opportunities to put himself in the frame for a league start, he's rightly 4th choice. Lets hope he can turn a page and work for his spot in the team, four players competing to play up front would be fantastic for us
Thracian Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Saw a tweet from Di Marzo last night suggesting a host of Italian teams are after him. I would be very surprised if he is here on 1st Feb, hopefully we spend the money wisely! It's very likely the bloke would be happiest in the sunshine of Italy but right now he's got a contract to play here and has done very little to justify it. Whatever the merits might be I'd doubt Ranieri will give any new selection an extended run in the team if he's not performing and is keeping out people who have already proved their worth. It's just too risky. I thought the ideal opportunity for Kramaric was in our all-too-brief Cup run but it didn't happen and has never happened. Building confidence is all very well but you need to become a big boy and show able to look after yourself if you're going to survive being a serious sporting professional of any kind. It's not social services as even ridiculously talented footballers discovered - to their ultimate cost on some occasions - and for many and varied reasons.
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Well, finally some sense from you, Colin. Top trolling..
Medwayfox Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 If he played a full match tonight and was crap I would be willing to adjust my opinion. But truth is both Okazaki and Ulloa have been distinctly average and he now deserves his chance from the getgo; which he would hopefully take realizing the significance of putting in a strong performance.
