MooseBreath Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 It's going down to the last day against QPR. how wrong do you want to be
Fox92 Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Burnley in 17th are on 20, Hull in 18th are on 20. We are on 17. It's difficult, it's not over ffs. Me the ever optimist.
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 TBF I thought we were done in March after the Hull game. I don't think there is any shame in thinking we were gone, it's what any logical person would of thought.

I have to say, I never thought we were done, could see we weren't getting thrashed and actually weren't too far off from winning games... always thought we could pick up a lot of points with the games we had left...

Both Hull games, like both League games against Villa and against Stoke, were dire. But if you took a broader view - and I'm not boasting, but I did - and looked at (say) both games against Everton or Liverpool, you could see that we had real talent and just needed a bit more luck and maybe a bit more composure. They didn't suddenly become better players once April started - they just started getting a few breaks.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 #Iwaswrong #soveryverywrong Full points for fessing up before anyone got a snidey post in.
Munshi Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Reading the first page of this thread made staying up even sweeter.

It wasn't the performance against Hull (dire as it was) it was the implication of the result. For me it was no matter how well we played we never seemed to pick up the result we deserved. That's why I was happy for Pearson to remain in charge despite what I thought was impending doom. And lets be fair it should of been impending doom, we've taken 19 points from 8 games only losing to Chelsea and we're still only four above the drop zone. We should of been gone.
MC Prussian Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 I do hope this means bye seenitall Because by now, he must've truly seen it all.

Tielemans63 Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Interesting that there's a bucket load of users who posted frequently in this thread who are nowhere to be seen now we've survived. Pathetic.
SpacedX Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Nothing from col? He's waxing his new convertible which he collected this afternoon from London.
