Everton Post Match

Nigel pearson has lost the plot, we were a boring clueless wreck with the same formation (exluding huth) against crappy villa and we were no different against everton, untill low and behold we bring on 2 strikers , the same 2 strikers who tore united apart.

Then just as we looked like winning he takes motm cabbiosi off .

He couldnt even be arsed to get out of his seat most of the time too busy looking to see if he was on telly.

face facts we are going down thanks to a manager who shows a total arrogance to this league, he will never be a premiership manager , and we ( yes we 10yrs season ticket holder ) will never be a premiership team till he is gone

Cabbiosi? He asked to be taken off for about the 1000 time.

Your first two paragraphs sum this season up. We've seen this on countless occasions already...

And yet people keep saying "if we keep playing like that" hence why I said it once again!

When will people learn we just aren't good enough? I'll tell you now if something radically changes and somehow we stay up I'll walk around Leicester town naked shouting I love Forest

At the end of the season - perhaps. Until then it's all just a mere guessing game as to whether we'll be making it above the relegation zone or not in the first season back in the Premier League for ten years.

Obviously, we can play better than this - as witnessed last season.

But my guess is that Pearson deliberately sets out with a more cautious approach in order to avoid getting on the wrong end of a hiding.

Given the amount of quality in most other teams in this league, that shouldn't come as such a big surprise.

I just can't see anything to suggest we will stay up, I see patches of decent play, I see fight at times but I don't see that overall consistency to keep us in the big league

We all were blinded by last season, we all thought that team could hold there own but unfortunately we were wrong.. Vardy, DD, Morgan, RDL, & Knockaert have all been found out..

Konchesky isn't PL standard anymore yet we never decided to get a LB in, Nugent has already proven he isn't PL standard

Schlupp seemed like he may have come on but he's been poor lately, Mahrez definitely looks like he is PL class but hasn't been great lately either

Kramaric is definitely talented but has been starved of any service, Ulloa the jury is still out as with James.. Kasper has been injured alot but I think he does have the talent to be a decent PL goalkeeper

And as for Albrighton? well he has obviously done something wrong

So we are basically left with the only class in our side and that being Cambiasso & he's 34! Like I said Mahrez shows major potential, Kramaric is PL standard, James could do a PL job, Ulloa possibly aswell, but as for the rest? a bunch of decent Championship players

NP trusted his faith in them like we did but we knew the standard had to be upped still & unfortunately it just never happened & that made things harder for NP but NP has to take blame with certain things this season aswell & the jury is very much out on whether he is PL manager standard aswell

I'd love to see us go 3-5-2 O'Neill style from now until the end of the season.

Hamer (GK)

Wasilewski (DRC) Morgan (DC) Huth (DLC)

De Laet (WBR) Schlupp (WBL)

James (CM) Cambiasso (CM) Mahrez (CM)

Nugent (ST) Kramaric (ST)

James could be our Savage, Cambiasso could be our Lennon and Mahrez could be our Izzet, so to speak. Even Knockaert could do a job in the Mahrez / Izzet role I feel.

We should have won today.

After such an encouraging 2nd half performance we paid the price towards the end for sitting back on such a precarious 1 goal lead and subsequently losing it and the 2 points, that really is disappointing.

We can't feel sorry for ourselves anymore, we've had games like this during the season and it's no surprise we're still getting more.

Oh add Huth to PL standard in that list, so technically in my opinion we have

Kasper (Could do a PL job, jury out)

Huth (PL standard)

Mahrez (Potential PL standard)

Cambiasso (Class simple as)

Kramaric (Potential PL standard)

Ulloa (Could do a PL job, jury out)

James (Could do a PL job, jury out)

Moore (Could be one day PL standard)

DD (Not good enough)

RDL (Not good enough)

Morgan (Not good enough)

Was (Love him but not long term, does a job)

Upson (Past it)

Konchesky (Past it)

Nugent (Not good enough)

Vardy (Not good enough)

Knockaert (Not good enough)

Albrighton (Killed NP's family & ate them)

Schlupp (God knows)

Simpson (Not good enough)

Wood (Not good enough)

Hammond (Done ok but come on not good enough still)

Hamer (Done ok not given enough of a chance)

Schwarzer (Past it, pointless signing)

So yeah guess what? NOT. GOOD. ENOUGH! lol

Said the dude who was happy Wasyl was not in the line-up.

I don't think we need Upson or Wasyl in the starting line up. No need for 3 Cbs

The problem with 541, especially when ahead, is that it invites pressure. Add to the fact we are awful at defending and our defence contains some poor players at this level and it spells disaster. It was inevitable Everton would equalise and let's be honest, they should have beaten us comfortably with the amount of chances they created.

We are, however, not a bad team going forward. Why not play to our strengths? Errors will occur at the back and if we sit off the chances of those errors increase.

I miss the philosophy of last season. Attack-minded, positive and defending from the front.

With the list I just made I'd be tempted to just go fvck it and play 3-5-2

GK - Kasper if fit/Hamer if not

CB - Was

CB - Morgan (Not good enough but will have to do)

CB - Huth

RWB - Albrighton

LWB - Schlupp

CM - Cambiasso

CM - James

CAM - Mahrez

CF - Kramaric

CF - Ulloa

Now I've had some time to think.

What Pearson needs to do is taking the entire defence and show them how Palace and Stoke defended at our place once they took a lead- They obviously weren't paying attention at the time.

Especially the Stoke game - We could have played for a day and not scored.

I got to say we were very poor and there was really no movement up front, which has been a problem all season. Lukaku should have put the game away with the amount of chances he had. You defended well until the goal and then actually decided to come out and play, which caused us problems {well Howard did, too). You were really unlucky to lose but I guess that's what happens when you're at the bottom of the table and I guess only a miracle will save you now.

A good weekend for us, it's now looking that it could well be any three from four who go down.

Burnley had the bestt weekend getting a point away at Chelsea especially considering their three rivals only picked up a point between them.

We got an away point against a mid table team.

QPR had a bad weekend losing to a Hull side away in what was a game they must have had a realistic chance of taking points.

Villa had the worst weekend by losing at home to a mid table team. They have to get points from these sort of games and just think how gutted we were when we lost to Stoke at home a few weeks a go.

Anyone who wouldn't have took a point pre match today is living in cloud cuckoo land. We were five points adrift from safety before the weekend and now are four and with a double bonus that we took one point more than QPR and Villa when they had an easier fixture than us.

Baby steps now, one small target at a time. I'd happily lose to Man City away if the other three teams above us have a bad run before our next game at home to Hull in three weeks. If we're no more than six points adrift from safety going into that match then game on.  :)

Funny enough if we were to persist with this formation that's exactly the team I had in mind but I would play Upson instead of Morgan. It won't happen because Albrighton couldn't even get on the bench today not alone the first XI.

I don't like the back five we play in this formation. The full back/wing backs have to offer something going forward and Konchesy and Simpson offer little. Krameric needs a partner and Mahrez behind the front two could be his best position. This solves alot of our attacking problems and we will need to start winning a few games at some point.

Konch is a fookin liability.......... but nobody seems to see it.. I despair..

He has been all season! But not at Arsenal or Everton today. Both of these games I thought he was pretty competent.

I see it as do many others. Clearly Nige rates him otherwise he would have (should have) bought in another LB or bitten the bullet and played Schlupp there which I think should happen. We have nothing to lose at this point of season. Nige should then use Mahrez on the left further up and try for a few games starting Albrighton on the right in front of RDL and rid ourselves of cringing every time Simpson goes near the ball. Simpson is even worse than Konchesky as defensive liability and offers little re a flanking attacking option. He looks lost past the half way line.

Upson didn't have the greatest of games but continually having to cover for Konchesky being out of position really didn't help his cause.

As for Simpson, I think that is one of the worst individual performances in a Leicester shirt this season. Would love to see his pass completion rate today. His defending was poor and as for when he got past the half way line with the ball at his feet :frusty:

Bit harsh on Konchesky,he was trying to push on,it's not his fault then Upson is so slow that he cannot cover.

Really agree with this post

His positioning is fckin awful, time after time he leaves us exposed.

He is one of several reasons we will be relegated but Coco cannot see whats in front of his own eyes.
