dannythefox Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 CAMBIASSO TOLD PEARSON HE NEEDED SUBBING still shouldn't of played championship Morgan
bovril Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Can we put a sticky at the top of the forum... should have should have should have
HankMarvin Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Brilliant! Because I wouldn't have kasper playing either. It would be Hamer considering he's the only goalkeeper we have that's kept a clean sheet all season. and amassed 10 of our 18 points in the 8 games he started as well as only conceding a goal a game on average
Dr The Singh Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Classic battle between a struggling prem team playing on the back of a euro game midweek, against a relegation side. Any mid table team today would have beaten Everton. However we did well to get a point. The tactics were setup for a draw, both sides had chances, again our lack of quality let us down. Saw the best and worst of Nugwnt, he put away a mistake from the keeper and setup the second, only for in the dying seconds fail to control a through ball, straight on goal
Callabinho Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 I don't think any one is to blame for the second goal, at the end of the day Everton despite their form of late still have quality, and the ball in was absolutely lethal, superb bit of play of you ask me.
Raw Dykes Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Not a bad result, just feels worse after being so close to victory. I thought we played pretty well, but Everton had some great chances to win it. Good to see the players all fired up still despite their league position. I felt pretty pessimistic before the match, but after seeing that performance, I feel a bit more optimistic. I am well aware that the glimmer of hope is only going to drag it out and make the inevitable much worse when it happens, though. Maybe we can fall out of the division with a little bit of dignity.
Buzzell Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Good result in the end. If only we could of kept hold of the lead. We need to continue to push forward when in the lead instead of sitting back and encouraging pressure on ourselves. On to the next one.
Bluebeemer Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Feels like a defeat, point really isn't what we need. Vardy played well which is encouraging, but doesn't do a lot for us in all honesty. The positive thing about Vardy is that he put in a tackle runs at the defender and then puts in a cross. Just a shame that Marhez can't do that! He may be skillful and technically better than some, but he spends more time looking at the city goal when he turns his back when he should be putting in a tackle.
Mike Oxlong Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Could've driven a bus (sideways) through the space created when Morgan lost Lukaku near the end. Good for us his finishing is so shit. Better performance mind.

canadaukfox Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 and amassed 10 of our 18 points in the 8 games he started as well as only conceding a goal a game on averageAnyone know why no Hammond today?? Not even on bench? We've 13pts from the 10 he's played.
Stan Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Shouldn't of taken cambiasso off and played championship Morgan! Why are you criticising Morgan today? Lack of objectivity?
shailen Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Anyone know why no Hammond today?? Not even on bench? We've 13pts from the 10 he's played. Why do people use stats in that way. So if Hammond played the whole season we would get around 50 points. Or if Nuge and Vardy played up front, we would get 102 points from 46 games. Although I agree we could do with a player that screens the back four, I don't think you can use statistics in this way.
justfoxes Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Great game when we changed things round thought we played with more aggression and positivity gave Kramaric the much needed help ! Pity we didn't hold onto the lead but it was a more promising performance 2nd half after the changes !
EnglishOxide Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Never a penalty. Only a desperate fool would say that was a peno. I am pretty desperate. If Simpsons handball was a penalty against Liverpool then we should have had one today. We are just not getting the breaks. Stuff like that is nothing to do with 'making your own luck' either.

Nalis Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 A draw unfortunately was the fair result in the end, it doesn't help us one bit though... People saying "oh if we play like that till the end of the season we will stay up" obviously forgot our other not good enough/dog turd performances which I bet you 100% will be seen again Unfortunately whatever anybody says we just aren't good enough, we haven't got the personnel to keep us up, NP has made alot of mistakes & doesn't seem good enough for this league & our transfer dealings weren't good enough Bottom line? here it comes again...we in a whole aren't good enough! Your first two paragraphs sum this season up. We've seen this on countless occasions already...
Bluetintedspecs Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 I personally thought it was a very good performance today, yes, gutting to concede the late goal but some of the ridiculous kneejerk reactions on here If we can build on thes improved, nearly performances the season is far from over with 12 games left! COYB
Ric Flair Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Schlupp has absolutely zero footballing brain. Wes Morgan was atrocious again. Too many simple mistakes from our defence undoing any good work. Happened against Arsenal and again today. Time is running out. Cambiasso, James, Huth and Vardy were superb.
Ghost Troop Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 We ain't quite good enough. 1-2 up with few minutes to go in the Prem you have to kill the game. Keep the ball, make every tackle, put the ball in row Z, whatever. The table tells no lies at this stage, we make too many mistakes.

I have to slightly disagree with the Morgan quote, although he wasn't flawless he had a much better game than he did against Villa.

I think we are not good enough to sit back, when we did attack with bit of venom we scored 2 it would have been nice to keep pushing for a 3rd
Guest ttfn Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Agree, one of the few things that wasn't the problem. I don't see how you can link the lack of Cambiasso to their goal. Cambiasso wouldn't have tracked the runner anyway...
DB11 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Meh Not surprised or especially bothered now. I've come to terms with the outcome of this season
mikey54 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Feel sorry for Kramaric and the build up and final pass for both goals would have been perfect - just a shame he wasn't on the end of one of them. He will learnt a lot over the next 12 games and will benefit from the experience next season - wherever he is.
