Schwarzer needs to go for the next match, I'm sick of seeing him come off his line at snail pace. Not good enough when we're fighting for survival and 2-1 up with 10 minutes to go!

Crinklyfox Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 So frustrated. Easy to say in hindsight, but why wasn't Hammond on the bench instead of one of Drinky or king? That way we would have had one defensive and one balanced/attacking midfielder on the bench. Not blaming Kingy at all, he did nothing wrong, but you can't help but feel Hammond would've helped the defensive cause a lot more in the closing stages... But hey, a point closer to safety, hopefully it will stay that way after man city (being 4 points adrift) so as we can push on against teams like Hull and Burnley and get ourselves back into the mix. I thought the same thing. Cambiasso had gone further than he normally goes in a game and needed to be replaced, but it would have been useful if Hammond had been there to add a bit of strength. At the end of the match I was disappointed that we'd only come away with a draw only because we need the points so badly. Under other circumstances I'd have been delighted with a draw at Goodison.

Nuge and vardy are not comfortable in those roles and with two in the midfield, we invited runners from midfield past our static back three. I never felt we would see it out as we dropped deeper and deeper. Sods law it was an og. Of course Everton probably deserved something but how often have we ?? Anyway- it stops the rot. Pick up points away and win our home games - has to be the mantra now. 5 wins and three draws from 12 remaining. We can lose 4 (city and chelsea probably bankers ). If we get a deserved point at Everton we can just about do this . Strongly odds against but still possible. I agree with that, would have put Drinkwater on myself, but i don`t think that was what cost us the second goal. That was down to poor defending.

Nobody argued that Nuge and Vardy should play in front of Mahrez and Schlupp. in that case i got it half right i said i would not have schlupp any where nrar my starting eleven in the pre match forum

People saying "oh if we play like that till the end of the season we will stay up" obviously forgot our other not good enough/dog turd performances which I bet you 100% will be seen again Unfortunately whatever anybody says we just aren't good enough, we haven't got the personnel to keep us up, NP has made alot of mistakes & doesn't seem good enough for this league & our transfer dealings weren't good enough Bottom line? here it comes again...we in a whole aren't good enough!

Agree, one of the few things that wasn't the problem. I don't see how you can link the lack of Cambiasso to their goal.

I'm not very good at maths but.... The difference now is that we have a decent centre half and someone who can score. Results tend to improve as other teams are left with little to play for but that will also be true for villa/dull and qpr. Can we pinch a point at city ?? they have barca and Liverpool next Sunday whlst we work on our set pieces (that's a joke btw If we do play two in the middle with a static back three then they will play it around us. He HAS to change his tactics around the basic formation there. Deano should be a banker but it seems he has gone out of favour.

Because I wouldn't have kasper playing either. It would be Hamer considering he's the only goalkeeper we have that's kept a clean sheet all season.
