lestuhfox Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 How long does James Pearson have a contract for? Talk about looking after your own!
m4DD0gg Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 "No-one is an automatic selection. It will be down to a number of factors." Really hope that is a joke. Unbelievable Jeff.
LCFC FOX Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 It looks like Knockaert is going back to Ligue 1 nearer home, hope I'm wrong though
Stadt Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 Cambiasso and Knockaert the only two id keepYeah because Wasilewski is a thug
MikeyT Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 I love Cambiasso, but can't see him staying should we be relegated. And not sure after his amazing career, I'd want to see him playing Championship football. Not the best way to bow out of what has been an incredible career for him.
Crinklyfox Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 'Assets' are only useful if they have future value. If they are not going to be wanted by other teams or can make a telling contribution to the team next season they become liabilities. We have to compare the value of those assets with alternatives that may be available in the market come June.
Max Power Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 Better hurry up and tie Konchesky down to a four year deal
Babylon Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 We have to compare the value of those assets with alternatives that may be available in the market come June. And I'm sure we will be... we're not going to say "you're all out on your ear come the summer", we're dangling a carrot.
Guest Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 I like Knocky but it's clear that he hasn't been nearly good enough to break into our rotation this season and if we keep Mahrez and Albrighton along with Schlupp and Vardy (and kram and Ulloa and Nuge) then he isn't likely to be good enough to make our rotation next season. If that's the case I have no problem with him moving on. If we lose 3 of the above I'd like to keep him.
cc_star Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 Leicester City are in talks with 10 players who are out of contract this summer By Leicester Mercury | Posted: March 12, 2015 By Rob Tanner "As you would expect from any player who hasn't been in the side, he has been in a better place," said the City boss. "He has to deal with that. "The important thing for him at the moment is he is back in France with his family and we hope everything works out well at home. "Any player who is currently not in the team has to deal with their own situation. They get support but, ultimately, the team is more important than any individual and that has always been the case. "It is a case of players have to work hard to get back in." AyewJoking Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 The contracts of Anthony Knockaert, Dean Hammond, Marcin Wasilewski, Esteban Cambiasso, Paul Konchesky and Matt Upson all expire in June. these players would all be decent in the championship but not good enough for premier league (apart from cambiasso )Gary Taylor-Fletcher, Zoumana Bakayogo, Conrad Logan and Paul Gallagher are also out of contract so long, farewell, auf weidersen, goodbye
kingfox Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 Gally should be a priority, he can still offer something.
AyewJoking Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 Gally should be a priority, he can still offer something. tea lady?
kingfox Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 tea lady? Nope Knockaert can do that job, while he watches Gally bag the winner against Forest at home.
les-tah Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 how effective does everyone think cambiasso would be in the championship? (genuine question based on if we get relegated and retain him)
ScouseFox Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 how effective does everyone think cambiasso would be in the championship? (genuine question based on if we get relegated and retain him) he would be the best player to have ever played in it
cc_star Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 how effective does everyone think cambiasso would be in the championship? (genuine question based on if we get relegated and retain him) If we have overwhelming possession and are creating chances for fun like last season I think he'd be fine, but if not he would potentially only be any use as part of a midfield 3... (which Everton away aside) I believe he is better suited to this season too
RedSoxUK Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 how effective does everyone think cambiasso would be in the championship? (genuine question based on if we get relegated and retain him) If he signs a new contract, I can see it being a more coaching role - training/studying for his coaching badges while here. 46 games is too much for a man of that age to 'run the show' tbh, so I can see Cambiasso being utilised as an impact sub / cup starter / injury fill in AT BEST. Pearson won't want to rotate. James & Drinkwater again.
lcfcbobby Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 I hope we keep Dean Hammond he seems like a really nice guy yeah and that means he should get a new contract!!!! well today its said cambiasso and upson being offered a new contract at minute!!
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 Try and persuade Cambiasso to stay, and get shot of the rest, including Pearson.
chicagofox Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 Realistically, I think we would do well as a club to not offer any of those players a playing contract. We need new blood.
