It still baffles me how players must be on field for about 5-10 plays on average yet are still often blowing out of their arses when they sit down on the sideline.

I reckon that each play has about 10s of high intensity activity, but the vast majority of the time on the field is spent standing or walking slowly around.

This is how I feel about the sport!

I struggle to understand how they say call it “elite level”. I’m also aware that this reply most likely belongs in the unpopular opinion thread.

Who cares about the owners. I'd love to see owners fuk off and let the players enjoy the moment first.

Wouldn't get that at King Power FC...

Why does the billionaire owner get to pick up the trophy before the team does?

Because money is all that matters is sport these days

Speaking to a few people who have played it as well as other sports, they all say it's so physically demanding. When the snap happens it's full bore sprinting, movement and contesting, it's genuinely a physically demanding game. Fair enough if you're one of the fridges in the offensive/defensive lines but let's face it you aren't going to be in the healthiest nick in that gig are you.

This, and you’re going to be doing that physical exertion against at least one absolute beast of a man trying to get the better of you for that time as well.

Getting the request in early  but two completely different teams in next years SB please baby jesus

With how the Chiefs played yesterday, it's hard to imagine them getting back right away.

*I know I'll regret saying that lol

Philly, on the other hand, have to be favourites. Such a solid team all around.

Of course, there's roster changes, coaching changes, etc...to factor in.

Probably the worst game Andy Reid has called in his career. The Chiefs didn't even try to establish a running game and were therefore one-dimensional and predictable right from the start. The Eagles defensive line could basically pin their ears back and go after Mahomes without having to worry about defending the run.

The Eagles were much better balanced. Barkley wasn't particularly effective running the ball but the Eagles still gave him 25 carries. And simply the threat of him breaking off a big run helped open up the passing lanes for Hurts.

The biggest losers last night however were the Bills and the Ravens. Both far better teams than the Chiefs this season. A great opportunity missed by both.

The stats for Mahomes when you blitz him are crazy, just doesn't work. Finally someone realising this and making appropriate calls

You say this but its not as simple as just not sending 5+ is it? To suggest so is a disservice to the Eagles D.

Most teams can't send 4 every snap and get the kind of pressure the Eagles did/contain him so well.

Also helped that they were pummelling them from early on.

Eagles D line is incredible, picking up Carter at ninth overall an absolute steal. Can't believe Raiders went Tyree Wilson over him at seven but he did have 'character issues'.

Really stupid article in The Athletic matching NFL teams to football teams. I don't know why I'm such a glutton for punishment that I clicked the link and scrolled down to Leicester, but I did...
