It’s no coincidence that the Seahawks defensive coach is British ( Aden Durde). Comes from London

In what way is it not a coincidence? Because i'd say robust defence against the Patriots is historically not a British trait.

Looks like a pretty good deal for the Browns to me, Verse plus a first rounder and the rest gives them a really good chance to add depth.

Back off to Denver in Dec, my mate managed to get us 2 decent seats for the game v my Dolphins. Although finally getting to see them live maybe tempered by how rubbish they are and having to possibly play in 3 feet of snow 🤣

My heart bleeds for them lol

I can fully believe how bad it is selling, too.

I've just booked tickets for my lads birthday and also taking my old man who's a big fan.

Couldn't believe the availability and assumed it would be sold out but loads still left.

Paid stupid money but it's a one off and got really good seats in tier 2 behind the end zone.

Yeah last couple of seasons haven't been very good for sales due to the huge increase in costs. People have been priced out on the whole.

It's a fun day out though amongst the game itself. Hope you have a good time!

I heard yesterday on a podcast I listen to that there's potentially going to be a sale of the Seahawks for $9.6 billion. The current owner bought the team for less than $200m (chump change) about 25 years ago or something.

The NFL is the PL on roids money wise.

I'm glad people are voting with their feet to some degree, but that said I understand going. I tried (and failed) to get Ravens tickets a few years ago.

Your love/hate relationship with the US and American sports culture is special lol

You know us well, though, so whatever opinion you form is legit

I think you've nailed it with the love/hate thing mate.

There's so much about the US and American sports culture that I absolutely adore but equally so much I despise.

I'm currently watching the latest season of 'Quarterback' on Netflix and some of it has be in awe and other bits make me want to throw up.

I've been to the US about 10 times in my life and had the best time ever yet so much about the place makes me cringe.

I'm facinated by the place and in my early days was convinced I'd end up living there but then sometimes I think it's the last place I'd want to live.

I think about the US a lot. Maybe I was a yank in a previous life :D

I've decided to get back into the NFL proper this year having lurked for a couple of decades really.

Never really paid much attention to pre-season but watching the Raiders v Cardinals yesterday I was really surprised at the intensity.

Not a training ground freindly like football, but a full on, high impact battle. You wouldn't know the difference between this and a regular season game.

First round pick Mendoza looking good at QB for the Raiders but sounds like Cousins will get the start.

Fells like it might be an improvement for the Raiders this season but probably still an overall losing one looking at the fixtures.

I don't think American's ever have 'friendly' matches, not in their nature.  Can't wait for the season to start.

All the teams will currently have about 90 players on their roster which will have to be cut down to 53 by the start of the regular season. The star players won't play during preseason. It will be a mixture of a few rookies getting some experience and bottom-of-the-roster journeyman veteran players. That's why it's so intense, they are literally fighting for their careers.

Does anyone know if DAZN is showing college ball again this season?

Yep - already got the first couple of weeks games they're showing on there.  Hopefully they'll have gameday as well. Not sure if it's still free or going to be behind sub this year.

Apparently Disney+ in the UK has also got a lot of ESPN content, too, so might be some games on there as well - not really figured that bit out yet!

Bozo play by Maye at the end of that game. Seattle were there for the taking too after losing Darnold.

Isn't the Melbourne game kicking off at something like 10:30am local time? Jealous of their kick off times lol
