Rincewind Posted 12 February 2013 Posted 12 February 2013 He's even got Shakespeare's haircut. Not watched it yet. Saw it on the DNO Facebook page and posted it straight here. But as there is just the aftermath moan in I may watch it.
Spudulike Posted 14 February 2013 Posted 14 February 2013 The Yorkies are still banging on about it. Here's the latest comment from the Richard III Society Facebook page ... "I`m incensed that Richard III is being interred in his enemy`s town! Ok, so it`s not as if he has a say in the matter now. But he should be buried with the dignity befitting of a King of England! His remains should return to York not preside in some stinky city so that they can make a fast buck! This is absolutely dispicable!!" If anyone from our stinky city fancies a tear-up with these plonkers then click http://www.facebook.com/pages/RICHARD-III-SOCIETY/114452911904874
MikeyT Posted 16 March 2013 Author Posted 16 March 2013 Although nothing to do with Richard, bones have been found under a car park in Edinburgh now, thought to be a Medieval knight or nobleman. Let's just dig up car parks every where and see what we find, I say! http://www.bbc.co.uk...t-fife-21762422
StanSP Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Aggers vs Boycott! Must have missed this when it happened on TMS! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-28726070 JA: "He has been quite happy there under a car park for hundreds of years."
Captain... Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 There is only one thing for it a Boycott boycott!
Finnegan Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Clearly a bit of banter between the two, Boycott just out for a cheeky wind up. Shouldn't really be styled as news.
StanSP Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Clearly a bit of banter between the two, Boycott just out for a cheeky wind up. Shouldn't really be styled as news. Boycott was probably serious (hard to tell sometimes). Aggers probably humouring him.
Voll Blau Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Heard it myself and it was clearly a laugh. It's TMS not Question Time FFS. A bit of shit stirring from the press down our end doesn't make the city look good, especially in view of the fact we've conducted ourselves with dignity throughout the whole process while those pretentious faux-Yorkist nobheads have been crying to the courts about the bones of a man they had half a millennium to look for themselves.
Spudulike Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 A "Yorkshire King" When did Yorkshire ever have a King ?? Boycott said last year that Richard III should be buried in York Minster alongside all the other Kings and Queens....erm, Geoffrey, there are no other Kings and Queens in York Minster The people of Yorkshire must be very proud of him.
PAPA LAZAROU Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 The irony of a Yorkshire man lambasting someone else about money.
johnny the fox Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Its a 99.9% certainty that its THE Richard 111, apparently he still has living relatives,..not the The queen though..I feel a legal challenge coming... To think DNA was discovered in this city..
Carl the Llama Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 The question is who (or what) does he bone?
Guest WarehamFox Posted 20 March 2015 Posted 20 March 2015 I have no real religion but I have studied history for long time. I find it a little weird he as a Catholic is being laid to rest in a C of E church. It was a religion made up by Henry VIII simply so he could do what he wanted and Richard III did not believe in! Simply as a historian and no offence to anyone

Finnegan Posted 20 March 2015 Posted 20 March 2015 He was a Catholic by default. There wasn't a church of England in his lifetime.

Simply as a historian and no offence to anyone There was a protestant movement in Europe before Henry VIII. It might have been convenient for Henry but he isn't the only reason it exists.
lgfualol Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Anyone watching? I had to turn the radio off cus the prayers were creeping me out. "Lord save your people"
promised land Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 I turned it on just as they went past the pile of concrete and steel and thought what a good advert for the city that was.
