We kick things off with a reminder of last year's table. What an epic it was. £1 decided the title. Scenes! Well done everyone involved what fun we had But that was so last year. -------------------------------------------- THIS SEASON WE'RE BACK AND IT'S BETTER (basically the same) AS EVER! For those who don't know, this is a thread to have a laugh and see who can pick out a bet and a half and I will record all the shouts in a table, as above, to complete a league and we see who's the best of the best and who's the worst unluckiest punter on FoxesTalk. The rules are simple. Anyone can enter. We'll have a roll call in this thread from RIGHT NOW until about 1800hrs on Friday 7th August, the night before the football season starts. Every player who wants to tip can tip whatever they want as long as they stick by these, simple rules: - Every tip is either a £10 win or a £5 e/w stake - Every tip is a single or double max - Every tipster gets ONE tip per week As I said, you can bet on anything. Last year we had bets on football, horses and darts, as well as basketball, american football and Strictly Come Dancing. If there's a market on any betting site and you can show us the odds and tell us why you think we should back it, you can back it. Easy. Every Monday evening (unless i'm busy) there will be a weekly wrap of everyone's tip from the past 7 days, although I would assume most tips will take place over the weekend, hence Monday night allowing me to wrap up Saturday and Sunday's football/racing (our most popular tipping events). Special Features for 2015/16; - The JOKER week(s) This is up for debate on one part. How many. I will welcome suggestions on that and let you all know in the week after I explain what it is. The Joker week allows a player to go completely nuts and back their tip to the tune of £25 for that week only. Each player will have a limited amount of Joker weeks and can use them whenever they please, as long as they make it aware when making their tip that they are opting to play their Joker. As I said the next bit is up for debate. I would suggest that every tipster has 2x Jokers for the season. Use them in week's one and two if you want, save them all for the Champions League & FA Cup final next May. Entierly up to you. Obviously as it's a joker if your tip does lose you then lose a whopping £25 instead of the normal £10. What a risk to take. Gotta be certain to use this, or just a bloody maverick. The question I'm asking is does anyone think we should have more? Two seems good to me but if people want, let's say, one a month(?) unanimously then I give in to my public. Let's see. - You snooze, YOU LOSE Every tipster who misses a week has done just that. Missed a week. Unlucky son. You get one tip every week and that's your lot. --------------------------- This post may be updated through the week when I remember more or get more suggestions, but for now, there you have it. Nice work though Scouse, I'm up for actually submitting more than 4 "tips" this year ah i see, so like you do your £10 tip for Saturday and then play a joker on Super Sunday or something? so it's not only a boosted bet but a bonus bet too? could have potential yeah. How about giving everyone 2 jokers to start off with. Then if they are successful with their joker, they get to keep it. If not, then they obviously lose it.
