Villa vs QPR ... best result for City ?

Recommended Posts

Surely a Villa win is best?

QPR, Hull, Burnley and Sunderland are the sides we can aim to catch.

Let Villa get out of it and push someone else deeper into the shit.

Why... we have two in hand on qpr and villa... a draw is perfect for us, keeps more teams in the mix

Same Villa that couldn't score, same QPR that couldnt win away. Whats the common denominator.

Fresh manager new ideas, yet people are still in denial about the effects of a new manager.

yep qpr and villa are safe now imo

Only Leicester will get relegated this year, IMHO.

you're right pal, sacking a manager is automatic survival think that's in the rulebook. just silly old us going down.

Baffles me how anyone could want clubs who will be in relegation fight to get 3 points a draw is the best outcome hopefully they will lose there next games and we win our next 2 then you will see why a draw was best

Perfect result for us. Both teams needed a win considering their respective fixtures. Can't see either team getting past 35 points now. That has to be our target

That's the spirit bevo. Best post of the day.

Definitely the best result we could have had - although a dross 0-0 would have been slightly better (just in case goals scored comes into it).

Looking at the fixtures of the other teams this weekend, I think we need to pick something up against WBA and continue to close the gap.

They aren't safe yet and we aren't relegated!

How does the table look now?

This is stupid logic, but the way I'm looking at the table is we've got 25 points, and a game in hand over Villa and QPR.

That extra 3 points i've added has come from winning the last home game against QPR, because i'm sorry but if we don't win that we don't deserve to stay up, that HAS to be 3 points...and I think most people here would agree with that.

Even being nonsensical and including that win, I still think we need to win atleast 2 other games. It just winds me up when various 'pundits' are saying we're doomed and QPR etc still have a chance, when actually we're really not that far behind.

You know how it looks

Sunderland 29

Villa 29

Hull 28

QPR 26

Burnley 26

Leicester 22

I fvcking hate the fact that even a win and all results going in our favour STILL doesnt get us off the bottom.

yeah in work today i tried to explain that hopefully we've got three points "in reserve" for the last day. if we get to the last day and still have a chance then we will stay up imo. it's just getting there that's the issue...
