Silverdaz Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 Dont forget because his Dad not very well he probably wants to be nearer his family as well
RowlattsFox Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 Shame but best of luck to him. I've never rated him as much as others but he did play a big part during his time here. You can't fault his willingness and desire to play here and he did well to come back from the Watford penalty. He's had a difficult season and the family situation hasn't helped.
Carl the Llama Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 Cult hero? cult hero noun a writer, musician, artist, or other public figure who is greatly admired by a relatively small audience or is influential despite limited commercial success. If you think he isn't one then your head must be in the sand. Is your head in the sand? Are you flexible enough to get your head in the sand? My suspicion would be no.

Carl, as a llama can you get your head in the sand? My suspicions would be yes. I can't, you can.

Listen you have been here often enough and for you to ask that question, you are either being very, very silly or you are being absolutely stupid, one of the two because for you to ask that question, I am sorry son, you are daft.
Jobyfox Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 Another player shipped out in his prime by that nasty Mr. Pearson. It’s not like he’s got good judgement in this respect. I mean just look at how we’ve regretted selling: Peltier, Mattock, Bamba, Mills, St. Ledger, Danns, Fernandes, Marshall, Wellens, Gallagher, Dyer, Beckford, Vassell and Waghorn – who have all gone on to bigger and better things. Oh hang on ….
Foxymcoxy Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 I regret selling Bamba. And tbf you could say he did go on to bigger and better things.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 Fook. Has ruined my day - not felt this gutted at someone leaving since Berner and it's worse as Knocky is coming into his prime. Damn it.
The Railway Man Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 I regret selling Bamba. And tbf you could say he did go on to bigger and better things. He played one year in Turkey before being shipped out on his arse, he then played one game in Italy before being shipped out on his arse. Last time I saw him he was at fault for all three goals when Leeds lost 3-2 at home to Watford. How has he gone onto bigger things? Just watch the bloke last month ffs. The winning goal lol

Haha could was in italics for a reason. His 2 years in Turkey he played European football and also went to an ACN and a world cup...
Corky Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 What? Sorry, it used to be the standard line whenever Pearson let a player go. It's a shame it hasn't happened for Knockaert this year but I feel he was going anyway. Enjoyed watching him a lot.
Richard Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 cheers Knocky, could've grown into a number 10 role where his lack of pace is less apparent but we can't have stragglers learning a position in the Prem. Plus Nuge, Kramaric, Albrighton, Mahrez are all better
ramadaone Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 All this boolox about he wasnt given a chance He had a chance every day on the training ground but failed to take it Now clear this was because of things off the pitch and personally think it is the right decision for both parties considering his unfortunate position

Oh hang on …. You could argue the merits of an individual player within this list, but that's just a distraction from the general point. That is that Pearson generally gets these calls right. I actually like AK and would have been more than happy to keep him in the squad. I would even have had him closer to the starting X1 than Pearson has had him and he may well have been on the bench quite often. However, he does have some notable deficiencies at Premier League level and keeping him as a peripheral figure around the squad is probably not realistic. I would be sad to see him go, but would move on relatively quickly.
Haydos Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 I regret selling Bamba. And tbf you could say he did go on to bigger and better things. Brilliant.
Soar Fox Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 I can't actually see many people blame Pearson for this. More that people are genuinely upset at losing a fans favourite and someone who played a significant part of the team that gave us one of our best ever seasons. Got some great memories and had some of my best celebrations from moments he has gave us.
shen Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 What, in so much as Pearson never wanted him to be sold but Hoos sold him behind Pearson's back anyway? Never heard this version of events before. Is it a confirmed story?
MPH Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 Thanks for the memories, knocky!! Explains the stories about Sako then.
Kitchandro Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 All this boolox about he wasnt given a chance He had a chance every day on the training ground but failed to take it Now clear this was because of things off the pitch and personally think it is the right decision for both parties considering his unfortunate position Yeh cos points are won on the training ground, right? Thank God Steve Claridge was great in training. Oh no wait he was shit in training! Poor decision from Pearson to not give him a chance, he was MOTM against Villa at home and has not been sighted since. People can speculate he wasn't quick/good enough but if he hasn't played then that's all it is, speculation. Personally, I think he's certainly got the quality and had we played him in a position that suits him he'd have been very useful for us. Would much rather see Pearson leave and take his rubbish tactics with him than Knocky.
LCCFox96 Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 I will miss Knockaert. He performed football eye-candy at times for us! The goals away at Huddersfield and that winner at the City Ground will always be some of my favourite Leicester goals. An extra yard or two of pace and he could have been a massive success here. I wish him well if the rumours about Standard prove true and wherever else his career may take him. The most frustrating thing for me is that we are losing a valuable asset on a free transfer when we could quite easily fetch around £2 million for him. It seems his contract expiatory date and lack of first team action have coincided at the wrong time for us to take a fee.

ARTY_FOX Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 I only know about 2 bits of 'inside info' one being about Albrighton and the other is knockys shocking attitude this year. He only has himself to blame

He's not done much of note on the pitch to warrant this fawning. It's been brilliant having him at the club and he's been part of some magic moments and I'll remember him fondly but if he wants to leave for more game time then fair enough. He's not fvcking superman for christ sake.
