Despite the two wins, his record this season is still poor and the wins (as greatly received as they are) dont cancel out all of the mistakes made that has put us in this position.

That being said, if we perform in the last 7 games like we have in the last 2 and stay up, he will have earned another crack next season.

Lets all not forget we are still bottom, so all the 'where are the Pearson haters now?' Comments floating around are a little premature. His mistakes and misjudgements have put us in this position and they need to be eradicated. It seems that the sacking/non-sacking has actually woken him up. Finally we're playing to our strengths rather than trying to be reactive to our opposition. Its all any of us have wanted all season!!

I've been a huge critic of him and wanted him gone. If he saves us, i'll be the first to call Radio Leicester and apologise to everyone. If we go down there will be zero smugness from me or any of the others who wanted him gone. We all support the club and want whats best for it. Whether thats Nigel Pearson in charge or not, we'll see in the next 7 games.

Look I wasn't making this to be a where are the Pearson haters thread. I was just trying to gauge opinion on his future, as 9 days ago it looked pretty bleak.

The supporters seem to be quite united at the minute, it feels like they might be behind him again.

No I've not changed my mind at all.

We've had a poor season. That's why we are bottom.

I'd have rolled the dice before Christmas personally.

Now we are finally playing to our strengths. The first half yesterday (amidst all the euphoria of the win) was dross. Long ball time and time again. A lot of us went into half time angry (I heard it whilst waiting an age for a bottle of coke in the queue), because of the nature of the football we were playing.

Second half....All change. Changing to wing backs, taking off Ulloa and bringing on King made all the difference against a West Brom side who were there for the taking. Why do we seem to play in 'halfs'?

We could still do this but even if we do, I'll remember this season for the good and bad in it. The Hull game will stick in memory as will yesterday.

He perhaps misread how Tony pulis was going to set up, no manager has crystal ball. The important thing is changing the right things at the right time, he did that, even if I was questioning his decisions at the time.

All season too many posters tending to over phsycoanalyse in detail every move , mistake, every single performance.

Too many forgetting, when 30,000+ fans watch a game there will be 30,000 different opinions and views on management and

tactics of the game, more and more so on players chosen.

'Babylon', to me hit it on the head a few months ago when mentioning the general contradictions of ouselves has fans.

Col city, last post a good take, on people taking it, in their stride over the season.

I never expected top 12, but expected from the players themselves, not the manager, that they would show better basic skills.

plus not so many poor performances.

I have never been, in this ' lets blame the boss' for everything brigade.....history proves its a total waste of time.

Social media, brings out and shows theirs some spitefull, jealous, negative " besser wisser' around the terraces of Europe.

I just like sitting back enjoy the story has it enfolds....its life, nobody to blame.

if true, then it's dangerous that he waited until half time to address it. We could have been buried by then. I think if was clear where the space was and we adjusted to take advantage. perhaps changing at half time meant they had to adjust mid game rather than during the break. bit risky but possible explanation. All's well that ends well I guess!

The fact of the matter is we still have a long way to go. Not only do we need a unbeaten run but we have to rely on others falling by the wayside.

I, too, like many thought relegation 2 months ago was a foregone conclusion. I still think it is a great possibility, but the results of our last 2 games have been very encouraging.

Is it too little too late, it may well be and only time will, anyway, I for one have renewed my season ticket wherever we'll be playing next season.

Yes season ticket renewed. And hopeful of, more than predicting survival

On the fence with this could go either way!!

He saves us from relegation give him till Christmas let's see where we are in the league !!

We get relegated well one part thinks he's a great championship manager but not premier league ah shit keep him let's just see how he does it ain't over yet !

Somehow reading this back is sounds like I'm contradicting myself but WGAFF !!

Should he stay or should he go ?? If we were to have got rid of Pearson it should have been the Nov/Dec period but he's here and we ain't doing too bad apart from a few dodgy formations and substitutions and a class striker on the bench !!

We will be staying up SIMPLE !!

I'm not going to get carried away, we are still bottom, but I'm just glad Pearson has got the team to have a go at last. There was an element of luck yesterday, for example when Berahino should have squared the ball for 3-1, but after that Hull game I thought it was over. The fear appears to have been replaced by ballsy determination so fair play to Pearson. We've hit form at a good time and everyone else will be taking note.

I've always liked him but a month ago I had more than begun to lose patience with him but the last couple of games we've played more positive football. Still up in the air for me but he does get players playing for him, we fight, and that's hopefully what we'll continue to do.

Am I the only person who doesn't understand it when other fans say 'I never liked him' or 'I can't stand him' etc? After what he's done for our club, I just can't get my head around these throwaway comments    :frusty:

I don't think once I've given up on this season on Pearson or the players or our ability to stay in the league. I've come close, but we've never been too far from safety.

So now I just have a lot of renewed hope after it had started to dissipate over the past couple of months.

That sums it up nicely.

Said at the start of the season that I believed he'd be a better manager at the end of this season regardless as he's shown that he learns from his errors and improves.

From Villa in the cup where we put in that gutless performances to Hull at home I was starting to think he was showing no sign of learning from his mistakes that a lot of the fans could seemingly see he was making. Never specifically wanted him out, but was more of the opinion that it wouldn't bother me either way if he stayed or left.

Fair play for the last few games. We didn't help ourselves with that awful recruitment in the summer (bar Cambi and to some extent Leo). Now he has an extra year's experience under his belt I doubt he'd allow that to happen again.

His smile at the end of a game when we've won does things to me that I can't explain.

I had given up on the season, pearson and the club being in the premier league, because of the shocking season it has been.

I still think it will be to little to late, but there is part of me that wants to believe.

I just hope pearson is learning finally, and doesn't go to burnley and play 5 at the back.

I really hope this is not a false dawn, and we are on to something, but I have followed city long enough, to expect the unexpected, both good and bad.

I've never hated Pearson, I respect what he has achieved for the club. I reluctantly decided he needed to go in December then we had a little upswing in form and I was pleased that we hadn't sacked him. Then when we didn't progress from there I decided he had to go at the end of the season. Even if we do stay up I still think he should be sacked, I don't want another season like this. That said it wouldn't take much to change my mind again.

We could have done this weeks ago but niether of you believed me then lol lol lol

To be fair though it didn't look too good a few weeks ago did it!!!! lol!

You thought he should stay after a little up-swing in form. You want him sacked even if he keeps us up? Yet it wouldn't take much to change your mind? Are you bi-polar?

I really like Pearson and would love to keep him but just don't think he's quite good enough.

That matches my opinion exactly. Hopefully he can keep us up and learn from his mistakes next season.

Tough one really. I'd have sacked him earlier in the season but there's little point now regardless of results. I'd resigned myself to him being manager to the bitter end anyway. If he keeps us up it's job done and he'll deserve to stay on though. I'd much rather have been wrong than see us go down.
