Hi, I'm not resurrecting old threads and pulling up posts for recriminations. I just wondered if anyone has changed their mind over pearsons future with us and his ability in the premier league. It does feel as to me, as though he has finally absorbed the pressure off the players and we are kicking it about with more freedom.

I haven't changed my mind yet but I'm wondering if he can evolve into a competent PL manager (correct change of tactics yesterday plus right subs against WHU) whereas a month ago, I wouldn't have considered that likely.

I personally have backed him and felt as he had and many others that we quite hav'nt had the rub of the green,we've won the last 2 in a way that we usually lose, when the fixtures came out I felt Pearson was going to be judged on the last 10 games, though it seems others judged him more on the previous 28,it may well go tits up yet put the Pearson we know will make a fight of it as we have done so far,up or down il stand by him for along as he's our manager.

Personally I think he has just worked it out. Just like many of our players who have needed time to adjust. Pleased for all the boys- brilliant day yesterday. Anyone else in the vine pub? What a match day venue.

I don't think once I've given up on this season on Pearson or the players or our ability to stay in the league. I've come close, but we've never been too far from safety.

So now I just have a lot of renewed hope after it had started to dissipate over the past couple of months.

Funnily enough, the only moment of doubt and despair I've had, was between half time and when we scored yesterday. I thought the writing was on the wall, turns out I'm dyslexic.

Although my hope changed, I always liked and had confidence in Nige. Pretty optimistic at the minute and hope we can follow it up with another win against Swansea.

Pearson's clearly found acclimatisation to the PL very tough, and some of his team selections and tactics have cost us points over the course of the season. However, he does seem to have rediscovered what we're good at - which is going out to win, and utilising the abundance of pace we have in our side. Vardy in particular terrorised WBA yesterday, putting in the sort of shift he did against Man United.

If we do stay up, and we've given ourselves a good chance to do so after the last two results, then he needs to make the right additions over the summer so we can push on. Nobody wants us to be embroiled in a relegation battle every year like Hull and Sunderland, we want to see us achieve what the likes of Swansea, Southampton and, to a lesser extent, Stoke have achieved. None of those clubs are significantly 'bigger' than us in terms of budget and fanbase, and it's their achievements I feel we're capable of emulating if we manage to stay in the division. Much will hinge on what NP has learned from this season, mind.

I'd Given up a month back and lost faith in Pearson I admit.

IF he proves he's learning and can keep us up I'll admit I'd be happy to give him another go.

Same as Raj, I'd just about given up. His body language around the Man City game seemed resigned to relegation and sacking.

He's proved me wrong before - when we hired him in 08, when we re-hired in 2011 and the terrible football we endured in the months after, after the terrible run we had in 2013. If he proves me wrong again I will literally never question any decision he ever makes!

I have never liked NP and thought he should have been sacked BUT like the team he appears to be getting to grips with the prem.I hope its not too late. The situation with Albrighton is typical of NP the fans have been willing his inclusion and what a difference!! He has not given any reason for not including MA and i think we deserve an explanation.I think this is one of the reasons he will not speak to Radio Leicester because the national press do not focus the small details at the club.I could of coarse be that Stringer is just too intellectual for NP????? ;)

It was another game of 'fine margins' yesterday - things could have gone our way like that a few more times earlier in the season and there would have been little question of his managerial ability. We have a decent squad but the main thing that stands out is they are so behind him and their attitude and effort can never be faulted.

Despite the two wins, his record this season is still poor and the wins (as greatly received as they are) dont cancel out all of the mistakes made that has put us in this position.

That being said, if we perform in the last 7 games like we have in the last 2 and stay up, he will have earned another crack next season.

Lets all not forget we are still bottom, so all the 'where are the Pearson haters now?' Comments floating around are a little premature. His mistakes and misjudgements have put us in this position and they need to be eradicated. It seems that the sacking/non-sacking has actually woken him up. Finally we're playing to our strengths rather than trying to be reactive to our opposition. Its all any of us have wanted all season!!

I've been a huge critic of him and wanted him gone. If he saves us, i'll be the first to call Radio Leicester and apologise to everyone. If we go down there will be zero smugness from me or any of the others who wanted him gone. We all support the club and want whats best for it. Whether thats Nigel Pearson in charge or not, we'll see in the next 7 games.

Agreed, the Vine is the best pre-match ever, the chicken kebabs, lovely. That, and the best away day atmos, the piece of piss drive there, straight off the M5 and into the pub, and the result, obviously Carling do away days and I went on one yesterday.

He's a very good manager. When he was "sacked" two months ago, I did say it was the right time for him to move on. I didn't see how he could continue to motivate the players enough for the task ahead. Since then, we've lost three, performed well in all of them, drawn two and now won two. He's done more than any new manager brought in at that point might have expected to achieve, and certainly bought himself more time. Clearly the players are with him, and he's continuing to inspire commitment, teamwork and good performances in them. He hasn't eradicated the mistakes we have making all season, but there seems to be a positive approach that we can go out and score more than our opponents. We may not stay up, but we're going down fighting. His position as manager will depend on whether we stay up, but that is for another day.

I think things have picked up of late because instead of placing emphasis on what the opponents can do Nigel is once again adopting last season's mentality of concentrating on what WE can do. We now look a much more potent threat attacking wise but we still look really culpable defensively from crosses in to the box so that still needs addressing for me.

No I've not changed my mind at all.

We've had a poor season. That's why we are bottom.

I'd have rolled the dice before Christmas personally.

Now we are finally playing to our strengths. The first half yesterday (amidst all the euphoria of the win) was dross. Long ball time and time again. A lot of us went into half time angry (I heard it whilst waiting an age for a bottle of coke in the queue), because of the nature of the football we were playing.

Second half....All change. Changing to wing backs, taking off Ulloa and bringing on King made all the difference against a West Brom side who were there for the taking. Why do we seem to play in 'halfs'?

We could still do this but even if we do, I'll remember this season for the good and bad in it. The Hull game will stick in memory as will yesterday.
