Steven Posted 17 August 2015 Posted 17 August 2015 Byram can play right mid and has occassionally played right forward too. Some similarities to a young Bale, can cover that whole flank and would be a great signing IMO.
Lesteban Posted 17 August 2015 Posted 17 August 2015 I'm not saying he will be worth £85m and move to Real, but that he looks too good to play right back, and will probably and up playing further forward. If he could be half the athlete Bale is, he'd be good enough for a decent prem team. Neil Redfearn made the Bale comparison I think.
SB87_LCFC Posted 17 August 2015 Posted 17 August 2015 I'd take Gray, Redmond or Matt Phillips as back up wingers and Sam Byram in defence Like Redmond, but Norwich wouldn't sell him I don't think. Gray would be my preferred choice of the others, Matt Phillips would be over-priced and Byram has gone off the boil imo I think another winger wouldn't go a miss, once the Inler deal is done.

Assuming Inler signs of course get Byram in and what a squad!
dormelcfc Posted 17 August 2015 Posted 17 August 2015 Byram and Gray would be two superb buys. They'd cost £10-15 million but could be worth double that easily after two seasons. I think Byram is out of contract at the end of this season, if I remember rightly. So for a young guy with quite a lot of potential, I don't think he would be too expensive. Would be a good signing imo.
ronnup Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 If we're at Leeds the lad Mowatt could be a useful investment.
Hack Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 - Chelsea will listen to loan offers for Juan Cuadrado and Juventus might be interested, reports Gianluca Di Marzio. Why not us?
FoxonMaui Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 If we in fact do have the Inler deal done, then I would go get Matt Phillips if the price was right, he always looked dangerous for QPR last year and he tracks back well. Perfect cover for our wingers. It would be his second year in the Prem and he would be ready to play at this level now. Only concern for me is that I know nothing about his temperament. Then if the money is there to do it I would by one or both of Byram and armartey , both would be good squad players and ones for the future and they might just contribute this season as well. With that squad I think we can compete with just about everyone and cause a lot of surprises.
FoxinNotts Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 - Chelsea will listen to loan offers for Juan Cuadrado and Juventus might be interested, reports Gianluca Di Marzio. Why not us? He's been so poor since his move to the prem
Hack Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 He's been so poor since his move to the prem For Chelsea maybe. He would be star at any other team. I would take him in less than a heart beat. He hasn't had a lot of chance a Chelsea. You know that is like saying that Kevin De Bruyne played crap for Chelsea now he is worth 50 mil.

He was a panic buy bought on the back of a good World Cup. He's been abit of a flop in this league. Only opinion pal, happy to disagree.
foxfanazer Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 - Chelsea will listen to loan offers for Juan Cuadrado and Juventus might be interested, reports Gianluca Di Marzio. Why not us? More to the point, why us? As if he'd come here
Suffolk exile Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 - Chelsea will listen to loan offers for Juan Cuadrado and Juventus might be interested, reports Gianluca Di Marzio. Why not us? Not for me - no better than anyone we already have.
ImBlue Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 Not for me - no better than anyone we already have. lets not go over the top.,

RedSoxUK Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 Would throw 10m at Dortmund for Kagawa, if they say no, throw £14 at them, around what Man U originally paid; think he's dropped off a little and Dortmund have become frustrated with him, a top talent and still 26. I presume friendly with Okazaki, form a bond a la Ulloa/Cambiasso.
conLAD logan Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 I think we'll make a marquee signing within the this transfer window and the january one might go back in for Austin? Or splash the cash on a centre mid, it'll be interesting to see.

lgfualol Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 Get Antonio from Forest. Chuck them a couple quid and they'll have to take it.
Max Power Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 Wouldn't mind us going in for Antonio actually. Seems Forest are selling. Good option for the wide areas where we are a bit light imo. Although he's Englsh so he'll probably cost about £25m
