Probably UKLP, so might as well not bother really.

Despite this election being billed as game changer, I still have my usual apathy to deciding what colour tie the dictator wears for the next 5 years.

Well they are counted and published so it's really no different to voting Conservative in an ultra safe Labour seat or vice versa in terms of being a waste of time. The fact is 34% of people didn't vote last election, if those people wpoilt a ballot then it will get attention. The moronic thing is to throw away your democratic right by not bothering to turn up

It kind of is. By voting Conservative you close the gap slightly and demonstrate that there is some support in the area for Conservative policies. This has meaning that can be clearly understood. It could possibly sway both Labour and Conservative future policy toward something you agree with.

If you spoil your ballot we have no idea if you spoiled it due to being so drunk you couldn't write a cross in the right box, impulsively decided to draw a cock for the hell of it, want Britain to become an Islamic state run by an Ayatollah, are a disillusioned Labour voter etc.

Tories.

I personally am so much better off under a conservative government than I would be a piss poor labour / SNP one.

The thought of Milliband / Balls / Sturgeon is nauseating.

Who do you reckon our Nigel would vote for?

Conservative party. Tends to take a more traditional approach to the game believing in discipline, hardwork and taking responsibility. I also recall him expressing annoyance at political correctness a while back in an interview which is a classic conservative-type comment to make.

Not ashamed in the least to say that I'll be voting Conservative.

Admittedly it hasn't been too pleasant, these last five years, what with public services etc being scaled back, but....!!

1): We've just endured the worst depression in God knows how long, yet I'm still employed,(and luckily have been throughout)!

2): Blair/Brown were an absolute disaster for this country!

3): Our local MP, (Andrew Bridgen), is a damned good MP, (as MPs go), and has been both helpful and sympathetic towards a problem we had!!

4): Do not want ANY scenario that gives McTart Sturgeon any chance of affecting us English with her venom !!

Anyhow, I always look at it from the perspective that MY vote is for MY local MP,,(A.Bridgen), NOT for Cameron/Millibland/Nige etc !!

Bridgen's a sap! Only thing he cares about is the HS2 route and that's only because it's going through his back garden! Proper nimby MP! No way near as good as David Taylor was!

When was this out of interest if anyone remembers?

I'm not having it anyway, he's a good football manager he's got to be a socialist.

I do. There will be noticeably different impacts on the country depending upon which party gets into office, the difference might not be as big as it once was but it will be there. I think it's negligent not to find that important.

lol

Ok....

Watching The Last Leg. Nick Clegg is a guest. He is the only party leader that agreed to come on.

Who am I voting for? Jonor Green Ashworth is safe in the seat. I may do a protest vote for Independant or green even though I have nothing against Ashworth and think he is one of the better MP'S.

That's true but if people did spoil the ballot then it's clearly not just a drunk incapable of casting their vote. If you wanted to vote for none of them then actually make the effort to spoil the ballot by writing 'none' across it or something, then at least you have been active in saying what you want. If enough people do that, it gets coverage and people start to take notice, maybe we get that option on the ballot or whatever.

I can't ever accept the 34% of people who didn't vote last, moaning about 'them all being the same' or complaining about things when they do nothing to try and change it. For sure everyone has the choice whether to vote or not but if you don't vote then they won't care about you, at least if you spoil the ballot then you're adding numbers to a campaign for change

Couldn't find the comment but I did get this instead: "My parents gave me good values and I want my kids to have a good appreciation of what’s right and wrong. It’s important to underpin whatever you do with decency, honesty and fairness. It’s easy to say that that is disappearing from society."

And this:  “I came into the dressing-room the other night after the (record-breaking) Birmingham game and the players were all on their phones,’’ smiled Pearson. “A few years ago I might have been angry about that. But they’re looking to see the other results.

Family values, moral decline in society, rejection of certain parts of modern life. We might not hear these referred to directly a lot but they're just the kind of themes that make up social conservatism

Here's one for you though, Mark: "I have an understanding of how much is at stake in football... what it means to the fans. It’s an emotional game. It’s a focal point for communities." I think that's suitably appreciative of the collective aspect of football.  :)

I've always wondered this. I wouldn't have him down as a Tory myself but don't know why.

I think he's in my constituency so would only be able to vote Labour or Lib Dem unless he wants to waste his vote.

Why do people care? Do you think being the football manager of the team you support makes his political views more important?

No. It would just be interesting to know.

Just a bit of fun. Of course it won't affect my views if it turned out he didn't share mine.

I'm reluctantly voting Labour.  The best of a bad bunch.

I've been disgusted by each party's campaign being nothing more than "don't let the Jocks in".  How about promoting your own policies?

I'll hold my nose and tactically vote Labour to keep the SNP out.

"The Jocks", sadly have been the focus of the election.

I miss elections about the economy.
