Burnley v Leicester Post Match Thread 0 - 1

Perhaps Dyche should have thought twice about banging on about how hard his team have got it all season. Seems that his players have started to believe they shouldn't be there either. You have to be careful you don't bang the 'we're a small club' drum too much.

20th out of 20 - yet the media still think he's the next Guardiola.

For the one or two divs still slating the tactics, just look at how Mourinho set up Chelsea to beat Man Utd last weekend. Utd had 70% possession and more than twice as many shots on goal as their opponents and still lost to a patient side who capitalised on a single error. We have to win games in different ways and we were never going to blow Burnley away like we did Swansea. We won games like this last season (away at Leeds and QPR were both smash-and-grabs with very little quality from us) and we did it away at Stoke and Hull this season. It's what you have to do over the course of a season and it's something to celebrate, not moan about.

I genuinely think even if Mourinho was our manager, the few morons on here that can moan about the win today would be second guessing jose every week.

Sounded like Kasper was absolutely immense today. Brilliant!

Absolutely mate. Chuffed to bits for him. Got some pretty harsh and unwarranted stick earlier in the season when a few were bizarrely claiming he wasnt good enough.

He might not have been at his best but form is temporary, class is permanent.

He just had to mention Money again, "the difference at this level, they can afford to buy two strikers, we have to battle on..." Blah blah etc...

Anyone would think they hadn't been receiving parachute payments and earning around 100m extra revenue in TV deals.....

cannot stand the bloke...

"Ginger mourinho" oh please.

Made some world class saves today. Absolutely immense.

One in the second half was a deflection off was, he was going the other way and somehow managed to get a hand on it. Not doing it justice really but if it's on the highlights, watch it unbelievably good save

Boom . Don't think i have ever laughed so much at a goal in my life lol:scarf: COYB

I honestly think Newcastle are going to be right in the shit sooner rather than later. They're bloody awful.

Correct

Correct me if I am wrong but do Burnley not get the same share of tv money that we do? He should be moaning to his chairman about why he hasn't been given the money to spend and lets not forget that Burnley only went down in 2010 and were still getting parachute payments as recently as the start of last season. Burnley have a small club mentality.

That's part of it though. He bangs on about it every time because then the finger is pointed towards the board rather than him. He keeps his face to other potential employers.

"The margins have gone against us."

"Fine margins"

"They get the breaks."

"The games cruel."

"The penalty's irrelevent."

Soundbytes from Dyche. Dissappointed there was no mention of market leaders or pound notes, but atleast fine margins was mention lol

(Which tbf it probably was fine margins but it's the same old standard Dyche interview.)

there was, he was saying how my h we've spent on players and how they can't compete on Burnley radio

Sooooooo undeserved, but thank god

Pearson is so lucky, his tactics against an inferior side were once again embarrassing. Instead of being positive and taking the game to them which has served us well, we invite pressure for 80 minutes and play hoofball.

Phew

For Christ sakes allow someone the liberty to post an opinion that does not accord with your own. ****!

Once again, post March, I respect Nige's decisions today but taking off Albrighton and Ulloa who was having a great game (particularly when bizarrely he's been left on after some shocking performances) neutralised our attacking impetus. Can't help feeling Mahrez would have killed this. Nige chose to contain and keep shape...different tack, can't fault him.

I've no problem with a difference of opinion but you can't argue with the result or the last 4 games. There was nothing lucky about it. You can't always go gung-ho every game against every side, they were desperate for the points and were having more of a go than West Ham & Swansea combined but we dug in and got the result. My anger was more from the match thread where Kitch spent half the game glass half full.

Anyway, all that counts is

Just on the way home now and still absolutely buzzing! Not the prettiest game but somehow we dug in and got the 3 points.

Fair play to the club today for the free breakfast, t-shirt and vouchers, made for a superb away day!

Great clebrations from Nigel at the end as well, he knows how big these 3 points could be.

It's really getting old now, why does he always say it against us. Anyone would think we were man city. How much did we spend on transfers last season?

Complains about strikers but nobody told him to sign jukewitz, and they have ings and vokes. Sold austin. Instead of bitching in every interview should tell his chairman.

Sean Dyche could strangle a man to death and he'd use his low wage bill as an excuse, boring bastard and his boring bastard team can fvck off.

I thought strange to take Ulloa off when he was our best defensive option from set pieces and all of the balls Burnley were putting in the box, but at least we won!

crikey had no idea how many teams were actually still very close to being fvcked. i'd convinced myself it was 3 from 5, with one of us, sunderland or hull joining them two poverty championship teams going down.

had no idea we were only a point behind villa and just five behind newcastle, with a game in hand and still to play them at home. it's probably any one from 5 or 6 depending on west brom's run in.

We didn't play great football; doesn't matter - great intensity again by Albrighton / Vardy / King, and another deserved clean sheet for Kasper.

Still some great moments, Kramaric's perfectly weighted pass to James deserved a finish, and Morgan's presence was one his best this season.

Konchesky didn't take his opportunity however, and was very lucky not to be majorly scapegoated if Ings had taken the penalty. Very poor display defensively from Konchesky, made a few terrible back passes again, and looked incapable of driving forward - all the more reason to cut him loose. This is why Schlupp plays on that side.

Jesus christ, he cost that much?

Owen Coyle signed Sordell for 3 million for Bolton. He was a free transfer to Burnley.

Wait, actually an 'undisclosed' fee reported as around 500k.

Jukavic cost about 1.5 million though, has never scored!
