EnglishOxide Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 To get a different perspective, try looking at the reactions to this interview on Youtube or Twitter – the club is being made at best a laughing stock. It is certainly loosing a lot of sympathy it had enjoyed in press and social media. At last one of the press reports has leaked out the widely rumoured theory that the tired and emotional Person is not fully sober during these episodes YouTube commenters and Twitter users are the spastics of society. Always have been. As for your allegation that he was drunk, get over it. He was a bit mean to a journalist. Journalist will therefore write shit about him. Its bordering on libelous.

Itsthejoeker Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Pearson is paid a large salary. One small thing he has to do is represent the club intelligently to the world (via the press) and to the fans (including those denied games by inflated gate prices). I am amazed at the support he is getting in this thread (blimey – you really want him as your “uncle”!) Do you really want lots of people feeling sorry for this club?
Foxymcoxy Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 He shouldn't have to apologise for calling someone an ostrich. Doubt anyone in that room would have a problem giving Nigel harsher criticism than that.
cc_star Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32531969 A look at 'rants' in PL history, Pearson's was chickenfeed in comparison.

Always forget about that Joe Kinnear one and then laugh my tits off when I hear it. What a nutcase. Glad Pearson has apologized. Stay out of all that shit and keep the attention on the pitch, where we've been playing well for past few weeks.
Guest MattP Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Fair play to him for apologising. Baker looks like a human dumpling though.
Guest MattP Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Fair play. Done and dusted. Yep, hope that's the end of 'Ostrichgate'.

Guest Kopfkino Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/nigel-pearson-rant-leicester-boss-apologises-for-ostrich-comments-is-involved-in-another-warofwords-10215650.html Not surprised. Nige doesn't like journalists with an agenda and he's quite right to put Pat Murphy in his place there
Fox Ulike Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Yep, hope that's the end of 'Ostrichgate'. Nice. Yep. Fair play Nige. "I do recognise when I have been out of order and I thought I was out of order last night. Thank you for coming.”
lgfualol Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 I am glad he apologised. I can stop rolling my eyes are cry-babies from other teams getting upset over Nige's antics.
Guest ttfn Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Lost all respect for Pat Murphy after reading that. Absolutely crap "journalism" trying to make the story about themselves. Media is eating itself.
BoneDog Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Just remembered from last nights match, in the first half I think, when the linesman was stood on the halfway line, Pearson pretended to start a chainsaw and cut off the linesmans legs. He found it hilarious. Is this true? I hope somebody has a video.
RedSoxUK Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Media team have told him to apologise on camera. Shame really, Pearson could have spoken to Ian outside the conference and told him why he reacted that way - because Pearson does have his reason, and it's fairly obvious. He's made it very very crystal clear in previous interviews and by previous actions what he will and will not answer. A tedious question like: "Hurr durrr what criticism?" you're literally asking to be put down, or thrown out. I think the interviewer was very idiot for asking that - it's like Fergie saying he's sick of being accused of Fergie-time, and someone asking: "What accusation are you referring to?" Pearson was only wrong in his attitude to answering the question, I think he needs to learn how to brush past questions he doesn't want to answer or won't answer. The flexible jibe was well out of order, and that to me was where he went wrong. The ostrich comment was fair game, and a unique put down to a journalist who has either, as he says has had his head in the sand, or is being silly; a rightful response to a provoking repetitive question. That comment is 10/10, it was all great till he commented on the flexibility. - Thankfully affirmation and dick sucking has been taken off the team, he's done something good there - taking "Leicester City will definitely survive relegation" back to "there's a worry around Leicester". Nothing has happened on the field, we were never expecting a result from Chelsea, and it's well and truly in our own hands, which is what we want. Pearson will protect the 25 from doubt, create a siege mentality with Was / Cambi leading with words and actions; imo this is a much better situation for the lads to be in, than if reports tomorrow had said: "Leicester's strong performance indicates they will stay up."
Master Fox Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 I just hope he keeps focused on the game for Saturday.
Corky Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Who is he referring to when he talks about the criticism of players?
EnglishOxide Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Who is he referring to when he talks about the criticism of players? Everybody who has criticised them.
