Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Np was careful there. Said the minimum but didn't get into arguments
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Nothing, you have had your pants pulled down by misquoting and by definition in the wrong and you are not man enough to apologise for making stuff up. Double standards and somewhat hypocritical.Pants pulled down for what?Saying what Murphy had said? You're really reaching here Micky... Pearson has apologised. Take it on the chin.
ARTY_FOX Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 "I'm not the one making a fool of myself in a press conference..." said Pat, while doing just that Yea that made me laugh. Was he trying to get a reaction out of pearson or actually just trying to put across his veiw?
Fox Ulike Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 This thread , has bought the best post of any worth, that is the 47th from cambrgdefox Main issue on interview...Newsworthy, no !!! just funny and ridiculous ISIS, AL QUIADA, NEPAL CATASTROPHY, 7 policeman going into someones house because of fliers, they are issues and worrying...!!! This was definitly, not the 9'oclock news, just a gogglebox event. And this is the most pointless post of the lot. No-one is saying that this is more important or as serious as the Nepal Catastrophy. But this isn't a Current Affairs website is it you numpty?!
Leicester Lass Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Handled that very well. Totally bizarre and unnecessary line of questioning from Pat Murphy.
Fox Ulike Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Nothing, you have had your pants pulled down by misquoting and by definition in the wrong and you are not man enough to apologise for making stuff up. Double standards and somewhat hypocritical. Micky I think someone actually has to "quote something" before you can accuse them of mis-quoting... Just dry your eyes and get on with it.
Fox92 Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Pat Murphy is like that. I do like him because he asks the questions no other reporter would. I listen to 5 live regular and I've heard him argue with other managers before, in recent times Paul Lambert. That was a good listen.
BigMicky Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Pants pulled down for what? Saying what Murphy had said? You're really reaching here Micky... Pearson has apologised. Take it on the chin. You blatantly picked out a few words of a sentence to try to add weight to your argument, it failed and you have been found out. Its simple really, yoi havent offered up the whole story. Denial is such a terrible trait.
BigMicky Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Micky I think someone actually has to "quote something" before you can accuse them of mis-quoting... Just dry your eyes and get on with it. Haha your a joke, no tears here sweet heart.
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Nigel did well to keep his cool. You could see (again) that he was verging on giving the reporter a proverbial ear bashing. And I felt the reporter said what he wanted to say with some conviction too. Fair play to him also. We move on.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Was he trying to get a reaction out of pearson or actually just trying to put across his veiw? Both Some journalists think it's all about them... maybe it's a BBC thing.
GingerrrFox Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 He did so well to not give Pat Murphy both barrels there. He was ****ing gagging to get Nigel to come out all guns blazing and it showed great restraint from the manager of our beloved football club to not rise to it. Pat Murphy wouldn't be so brave with the cameras and microphones off though. ****.
Guest safetosurfthisbeach Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 It seems to me that NP is not handling stress as well as he used to. Some sections of the media have sensed this and are provoking reactions and/or just needling him for the sake of it. The standard of journalism is quite poor. He deserves our 100% support.

Col City Fan needs to apologise, preferably by starting a thread specifically for this,to ensure the whole forum is aware
filbertway Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Nice Nigel, nice! Shame they don't concentrate on the football more, I'd be interested to hear his thoughts and opinions on football.
The Doctor Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 What on earth was Murphy on there? Love how dry Pearson was, made Pat look like a right ****.
lifted*fox Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Pat Murphy comes across like a condescending ****. What has he ever achieved in the world of football? Put some pen to paper, big ****ing deal. Sounds like a little bitch who turned up to stand for his journalist mate. What a ****ing cry-baby.

Pat Murphy wouldn't be so brave with the cameras and microphones off though. ****. Christ... So you're now suggesting Pearson is 'arder than the reporter? This is getting ridiculous.. It IS possible to support LCFC AND Pearson but also agree when he has acted like a twit. It is you know. Try it sometime. He did take it out of context to support his own argument to be fair. Col City Fan needs to apologise, preferably by starting a thread specifically for this,to ensure the whole forum is aware
The Horse's Mouth Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 The only person who has made himself look foolish has been Nigel Pearson. And has now apologised. Good. He needed to. Bet he didn't want to though. Bet the club finally told him to. the club wouldn't have forced it else he would have been forced to apologise for the incident with the fan, not sure why you're trying to take the apology and make it less sincere.
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 the club wouldn't have forced it else he would have been forced to apologise for the incident with the fan, not sure why you're trying to take the apology and make it less sincere. You could well be right Horse. I hope you are..
RedSoxUK Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 7 minutes (SEVEN) with about three questions, very poor from Murphy who clearly turned up with an Agenda to try and get Pearson to react to him. Pearson didn't argue with Murphy, did all the correct responses, great use of the word 'ok' which in-turn makes Murphy seem like the villain as I think Pearson asked more questions to the reporter than the reporter asked Pearson. Thats a very good Leicester media response to the 'incident' last night.
BigMicky Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 I simply commented on the point I heard Murphy make And agreed. As I said, you're reaching here bud.. Laugh all you want, how convenient, still doesn't detract from the simple fact that you pick and choose what is said to aid your argument. Hardly a balanced look now is it..
RedSoxUK Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Also think Murphy's 'it comes with the territory?' question was more of a reflection on him and Ian Baker than Pearson. As a sports journalist, if you get a response which you didn't necessarily want or expect, that comes with the territory of being a sports journalist. Top work by Pearson.
