Babylon Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Who is he referring to when he talks about the criticism of players? The only ones who have been over the top are the fans in my mind, not seen much in the nationals. Not sure if stuff has been said on Radio or anything like that.
hackneyfox Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Now certain people are saying it was 'rehearsed' Yeah, it's good to rehearse something that yet again brings negative light on the club and which makes you look like a man under extreme stress. I wonder when Nige and club management 'rehearsed' this particular little speech? The more I watch it, the more it makes me feel very uneasy. Why does Nigel never do this to SKY reporters in his post match interviews? Not surprised that the fan club are rushing to excuse and support this latest outburst (I wish he was my uncle etc), equally I'm sure they aren't surprised at the usual suspects like myself finding it embarrassing. What matters most is what the owners think and I'm fairly sure that as Thai society is generally respectful and polite to others that they will be less than impressed. It takes some doing to get drunk that quick or does he start pre match? Comment based on Jeff Peters' comment about media room discussion post interview.
tickler28 Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 I hate to say I told you so......but I told you ALL so...(re apology)....I for one am happy he's apologised and its sincere...heat of the moment stuff...we move on...bring on the Geordies!!!
Master Fox Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Nige is ****ing pumped. You could tell after the Burnley game. He loves this shit. Bring it on.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Pat Murphy always causes trouble. Was always stirring it up at Villa under Lambert
adam95581 Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Media team have told him to apologise on camera. Shame really, Pearson could have spoken to Ian outside the conference and told him why he reacted that way - because Pearson does have his reason, and it's fairly obvious. He put the reporter down on camera and made a point of apologising on camera. Right reaction in my opinion - apologising and admitting you're wrong is far easier when the rest of the world aren't there to see it!

This is not the first time Pearson has done this. If he gets results they won't care. The owners already felt the need to sacrifice their own image (confusion at board level of whether he was sacked) in the name of keeping him on. They clearly value him very highly and have a good working relationship. I'm sure they understand the pressures of top level football and sometimes the consequences of it. I wish supporters like yourself would support Leicester City, and therefore Nigel Pearson by extension through thick and thin. That still means you can criticise him, but taking side with what the owners may or may not think is not offering anything.
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 So he's apologised so by his own admission was in the wrong and it was a wrong thing to do. I'm glad that's over. We move on.
BigMicky Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 So he's apologised so by his own admission was in the wrong and it was a wrong thing to do. I'm glad that's over. We move on. Now for you to apologise for your lack of context......
Fox92 Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Fair play for a public apology, too. Hopefully the media put this to bed now.
KFS Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 I'm pissed off at Pat Murphy now. I still maintain that the media can't take the high ground, it's just so ironic.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 God people love to pat themselves on the back on here don't they. Cringe.

Hackneyfox hates Pearson and has been saying for years the Thai's are going to sack him over numerous diferent things and he's kept banging this drum despite clearly knowing nothing. He even bought some cock and bull to the forum last year from Bentleys about how Nigel was going to be retiring as he had some heart condition, some people just get it wrong all the time.
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Now for you to apologise for your lack of context...... Eh?
BigMicky Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Eh? By taking Danny Murphys "quote" out of context to support your own agenda. Makes you look foolish.
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 By taking Danny Murphys "quote" out of context to support your own agenda. Makes you look foolish. The only person who has made himself look foolish has been Nigel Pearson. And has now apologised. Good. He needed to. Bet he didn't want to though. Bet the club finally told him to.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Pat Murphy's line of questioning was odd and I told him that afterwards http://youtu.be/s-szdvFAJ3E "Do you need anger management?" And that coming from Pat
BigMicky Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 The only person who has made himself look foolish has been Nigel Pearson. And has now apologised. Good. He needed to. You are both in the wrong, why can't you just say yeah I made a mistake too.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 "I'm not the one making a fool of myself in a press conference..." said Pat, while doing just that
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 You are both in the wrong, why can't you just say yeah I made a mistake too. What you on Micky? Your precious Nige has apologised. Get over it
BigMicky Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 What you on Micky? Your precious Nige has apologised. Get over it Nothing, you have had your pants pulled down by misquoting and by definition in the wrong and you are not man enough to apologise for making stuff up. Double standards and somewhat hypocritical.
Fox Ulike Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Pat Murphy's line of questioning was odd and I told him that afterwards http://youtu.be/s-szdvFAJ3E "Do you need anger management?" And that coming from Pat Yeah have to say I felt a lot of sympathy for Pearson with the way Murphy was going on at him... Nige has put himself in the firing line though...
fuchsntf Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 This thread , has bought the best post of any worth, that is the 47th from cambrgdefox Main issue on interview...Newsworthy, no !!! just funny and ridiculous ISIS, AL QUIADA, NEPAL CATASTROPHY, 7 policeman going into someones house because of fliers, they are issues and worrying...!!! This was definitly, not the 9'oclock news, just a gogglebox event.
Narborough_fox Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Pat Murphy's 7 minute rant at Pearson, and that's exactly why Pearson doesn't like the media... Deals with it very well in my opinion, Murphy comes across as just trying to wind Pearson up.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Hope he had a word with him afterwards.
