Southampton up next......

I love looking at "Predicted Line Ups" pre-match. Take this one, according to them we'll be bringing Schwarzer, Simpson Konchesky and Knockaert back into the starting 11 for the Southampton game.

:nigel:

That made me feel sick.

Nugent fit again for this game.

Is that a statement?

Pearson:

"I'm very pleased with how we've played, but there's a lot of hard work left. It's not done. Not at all"

"Of course it helps when things go your way elsewhere, but you can't bank on that. We can't leave the field with regrets"

"Saints are tough and we've got two tough games after that. There's lots of work left for us to do"

"Bearing in mind who our remaining games are against, I'm not sure one more win will be enough"

Southampton have always had a good fanbase with good away followings.

I agree they travel well. Good fanbase? not sure I'm with you on that - perhaps because they're put to shame by Pompey. That said, their average attendance figures in league one were higher than ours - around 22,000. I don't think they are as passionate or make as much noise as City fans, but they seem to have a certain wit and humour about them. From an entirely puerile perspective, the Jason Puncheon song was one of the most amusing things I've ever heard sang by a football crowd.

Yes Pearson in his pre match interview. Nugent back, Vardy and Ulloa ok and king still out

Excellent.

In for Mahrez.

So by the sounds of it they're without Forster, Schneiderlin, JWP, Rodriguez, Tadic and possibly Mane. They've only got 1 point from their last 15 available on the road and they've just lost to a fellow relegation rival away from home by giving away their first penalties of the season.

Would be so Leicester to lose this. Mind you I said the same against Newcastle...

For all of our bad luck we're playing ome of these sides at perfect times.

Without all of them they are nothing special at all. We've simply got to win this game.

Keep the energy and intensity and we stand in good (Jon) stead. Nigel is saying a lot of the right things, obviously I'm expecting some sort of post match flare up?

I'd like him to go into the next press conference dressed as a Spartan warrior.

"Give them nothing, but take from them everything!"

Perhaps that is a bit too homoerotic

paul merson's view

I watched Southampton last weekend at Sunderland and I was not that impressed with them and I think that they have now hit a bit of a brick wall. Meanwhile, I think Leicester are looking decent at the moment, so I am going to go 2-1 Leicester for this one.

PAUL PREDICTS: 2-1 (17/2 with Sky Bet)

Think we look better without him lately

He would have made a massive difference against Burnley. Maybe against Chelsea as well.

Merson has us to win...... again!

Think it'll be tough but if we keep up our intensity and early pressure we could have another Swansea game on our hands.

Early goal would really get the place rocking (literally) and if Sunderland lose in the early kick off we could be all but safe

COYB!!!
