Dan Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Put a downer on the game a bit for me. Could seriously halt his progress.
MC Prussian Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 When I looked at the replays, I thought he'd twisted his ankle.
GaelicFox Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 I go horse racing 3-4 times a week ...my daughter who is 8 sometimes comes with me ...last week we saw a horse unfortunately killed was terribly sad they as usual brought out huge big green screens to shelter race goers the gory details of the horse being put down and taken away. Yesterday when matty went down he was lying there not moving and the stretcher came on. , my girl looked me in the eye and asked "will the bring the big green sheets on now daddy" I replied "no love they only do that for poorly horses" Jaysus the horrors of being an 8yo traumatised by sporting injury ... She thought the vet was coming for matty I go horse racing 3-4 times a week ...my daughter who is 8 sometimes comes with me ...last week we saw a horse unfortunately killed was terribly sad they as usual brought out huge big green screens to shelter race goers the gory details of the horse being put down and taken away. GaelicFox Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 They wouldn't need a vet. One snap of the neck from Was would suffice... . Jesus ... That's scary....and probably true , thankfully we had medical staff available ... Let hope he makes a quick recovery
katieakita Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Wishing him all the best and he will have some of the best medical staff looking after him (No worries with Tory NHS cuts, or waiting lists), one thing NP has is plans and numbers of them, Hammond has done a job and might get another year and you have DD and Kingy, a season in the premiership will have helped all our players including Cambiasso, mind you in the last month or so NP must have suddenly started paying more attention to his upgraded wish list for next year.
kylestyle06 Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Thanks for the heads up! (I'm going on the assumption that you know him from United) Looking when he registered and through his posts it's either Matty himself or a close relative . Thanks for the info

Thanks for the info It would be shocking to think that any players would visit this place and read some of the stuff. I am pretty certain that they are told in no uncertain terms not to.

I am pretty certain that they are told in no uncertain terms not to. They are probably told not to, but if you were playing you'd want to read what people were saying about you . Didn't Alan Sheehan come on here posting abuse to people ? I don't care what anyone says players do read the forums, and wouldn't be surprised if some have made accounts.

Sheehan went for Manwell Pablo, haahahaha. I'd forgotten about that.
katieakita Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Before my time on here, did Sheehan go off track and run out of steam with his posts?

Thanks for the info "Out for tea last night with a member of the media staff and he says Matty James is in talks to renew his contract at Leicester. Should be announced in the next few days." Doesn't sound like Matty himself
GaelicFox Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Before my time on here, did Sheehan go off track and run out of steam with his posts? I know irish lads that know him quite well ....he would start a fight in a telephone box , can dish it out BUT NEVER take it ...
Alexikokopops Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Before my time on here, did Sheehan go off track and run out of steam with his posts?I'm not sure if he ever posted but I think he sent Manwell Pablo a very angry PM after reading some of his posts. He'll be able to elaborate more on that though
Guest Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Get in touch with some NBA doctors. Happens a fair bit there.
Manchesterred Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Thanks for the heads up! (I'm going on the assumption that you know him from United) Yes he did send me a photo of his knee in a brace, but I've no idea how to upload it into this forum. He is devastated to say the least but he's in good hands
pazzerfox Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 I know irish lads that know him quite well ....he would start a fight in a telephone box , can dish it out BUT NEVER take it ... I saw him on a night out in Loughborough, trying to start a fight with a geek, so i told him he was shit....He then proceeded to run off down the road and my mate threw a chip at him. Kisnorbo, Stearman and McCauley were also with him..They were good lads and were telling us what a dick Sheehan could be.

I remember chatting to McCauley in Vice Versa about Kaebi and DJ Campbell for about 30 minutes!

ealingfox Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Just spoke to him, he's going for a scan early next week. Surgery at the back end of next week and then it will be a long road to recovery 6-9 months rehab. I'm not saying you're wrong because your posts have been reliable and you almost certainly do have a connection to him, but how could he know if he needs surgery before he's had a scan?

I think the physios would have a good idea of that and the scan would be to determine how bad it is and what they will need to do.
Ric Flair Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Absolutely sickening, feel for the lad. He's a very important player for us. The only small positive if there ever can be one is Drinkwater looked very good again yesterday.

The physios will be able to tell from experience that he needs surgery. How difficult the procedure will need to be will be determined by the scan. He could have damaged other knee ligaments at the same time.
