Ollie93 Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 It's the sheer effort and intensity that the players are putting in, we started the season like it as well. There is no way you could keep this up throughout the whole season. The fitness, physio, coaching staff deserve huge praise to keep the team as fit and injury free as they have been all season!
Aus Fox Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 aheez in the Nugent role, Drinky in for James and Kram in for Ulloa, only Vardy is really irreplaceable as he is key to everything we have done. Maybe Schluup in Thr Vardy role if he is out, which means Konch in for Jeff

SpacedX Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 Maybe Schluup in Thr Vardy role if he is out, which means Konch in for Jeff ...and 2-0 to Sunderland by halftime
LCCFox96 Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 Can see Kramaric starting over Ulloa if his hamstring is sore. Mahrez and Vardy will likely form the rest of the front 3. Drinkwater in for James (get well soon!) after his performance on Saturday is deserved. Other than that unchanged, why change a winning formula? 2 games to go - give it a big final push boys!

That makes sense. What about Chris Wood on the bench in place of Nuge? And Is there room for Knocky to have one last swansong as a replacement for Drinkwater on the bench?
lgfualol Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 I really wish Nugent didn't come on at the end of the Saints game. Thank god we bought Kramaric. Imagine playing the next two games with Wood up front.
Bert Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 Obviously !!! The three mentioned were Vardy, Nuge and Ulloa. Keep up ITK! You said "same lineup". James was in that starting line up! Or maybe you couldn't see, what with being so far up Rob Huths bum.

And Is there room for Knocky to have one last swansong as a replacement for Drinkwater on the bench? If Nugent is injured then it is likely Wood will be on the bench with the one of Kramaric/Ulloa/Vardy who does not start. If Ulloa or Vardy are also injured then Wood will definitely be on the bench. This is assuming we play the same system, which I hope we do. If Knockaert has already agreed a move to Standard, as is reported, then I highly doubt he will be involved at all (not that he has been much this season anyway!).
Guest Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 Isn't Vardy having to get painkiller injections before he plays? That's a risk that could lead to a worse injury? Sadly winning against Sunderland is far more important than Vardy's health (to LCFC business).
The Blur Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 Those lads loved a night out in Loughborough. I remember chatting to McCauley in Vice Versa about Kaebi and DJ Campbell for about 30 minutes! Come on, tell us what McAuley thought of these two!
AyewJoking Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 I saw him on a night out in Loughborough, trying to start a fight with a geek, so i told him he was shit....He then proceeded to run off down the road and my mate threw a chip at him. Kisnorbo, Stearman and McCauley were also with him..They were good lads and were telling us what a dick Sheehan could be. they were hardly likely to say, " leave our mate alone and do one you scutty little peasant!"
Babylon Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 Sadly winning against Sunderland is far more important than Vardy's health (to LCFC business).Vardy has said the injury will not get worse, he just needs rest over the summer.
LukeyZade Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 If vardy plays 45min worth he will destroy sumderlands back line. They are awfully slow
Sly Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 Come on, tell us what McAuley thought of these two! Nothing we didn't already know really.
Clever Fox Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 This might be the game to rest a few with knocks with a view to an all out assault on qpr. If Ulloa is doubtful then it might be a chance to give Wood a run out. He's big strong and mobile although not as skillful as Ulloa or Nugent. O'Shea for Sunderland is decent but doesn't like getting roughed up. With Vardy's pace and Mahrez backing him up we should be able to score. I'd also play Hammond instead of Drinky. As he's been the biggest disappointment this season. If we can get our nose in front then defend in numbers take a win or draw. Job done.
Richard Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 vardy at 50% would still have a field day against O'Shea
Marie84 Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Isn't king back in contention for Saturday? . Hopefully... Nige said last week he had done some training so hope so.. Feel so sorry for Matty stepping up when kingy got injured and then that happens Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The thought of deano and Esteban in the middle away from home ....... Are you serious? S'land have no pace but my grandma would have a field day and she's been dead thirty years!!
psychonaut Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Judging by Nigels comments last week King should be available for this game. If so he should slot right in - unfortunately Drinkwater looks well off the pace.

We spent most of the time chasing shadows or goal side. not fair to judge him on that game though I thought he did ok. Anyway, this is the wrong thread to discuss it.

No. The best 11 if fit play - we are on a roll. Wood - mobile? No he isn't. O'Shea - decent? No. He is an awful player. Play Hammond instead of Drinkwater? No. Drinky has seemed on the improve the last few games. Or if King fit, that's fine. Hammond's inclusion instead would hamper our attacking style that has been the reason for our upturn in form. Plus, Hammond cannot possiblyplay a full game in the PL at present - what's he played 20 mins in 6 months. He'd be lucky to make HT. I will agree with a draw being ok but we must setting out positively and go for a win.

Defensively the midfield did very well on Saturday, against a very very good side, who were just short a cutting edge. To criticise anyone for their performance on this occasion would be plain wrong imo.
