LanguedocFox Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 vardy at 50% would still have a field day against O'Shea I read somewhere the O'Shea may not be fit to play City? Well, he's never particularly fit, but I mean still injured.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 I read somewhere the O'Shea may not be fit to play City? Well, he's never particularly fit, but I mean still injured. Well then he would be up against Wes Brown instead, who is equally turd.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 do we have an update? Machestrer Red? Scan results?
Manchesterred Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 do we have an update? Machestrer Red? Scan results? Scan results confirmed ruptured cruciate and severe bruising to bone and area round it. Requires surgery which will hopefully take place next Tuesday.
psychonaut Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 This. Defensively the midfield did very well on Saturday, against a very very good side, who were just short a cutting edge. To criticise anyone for their performance on this occasion would be plain wrong imo. Never mentioned his performance against soton - collectively _over the season_ when he's played imo he has been off the pace. Back to Matty James apparently ManchesterRed was going to update once he'd had his scan.
Ric Flair Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Judging by Nigels comments last week King should be available for this game. If so he should slot right in - unfortunately Drinkwater looks well off the pace. He had a decent game, he also had a very, very good game against Chelsea. I was very concerned about him earlier in the season but of late he's looked like his old self who with a run of games will be sound at this level.

Manchesterred Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Back to Matty James apparently ManchesterRed was going to update once he'd had his scan. Apologies for late post. Was busy with our u21s last night at old Trafford.
Ric Flair Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Apologies for late post. Was busy with our u21s last night at old Trafford. Send a few more of them down here please, it's been over 6 months since we had the last one

MGLCFC Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Apologies for late post. Was busy with our u21s last night at old Trafford. Apparently Matty's brother is one hell of a player - is that accurate?
willie-bell-in-rothley Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Thats sh*te news for matt and the club, wishing him a speedy recovery
GingerrrFox Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Apparently Matty's brother is one hell of a player - is that accurate? Yes and he's a left back. He's no Luke Shaw but from what I've seen he's not far off.
st albans fox Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Thanks mate, that's gutting but to be expected. Any idea of length of recovery estimated yet? How is Matty? I'm not a surgeon but I think it's better news than it might have been if there is no collateral damage to other ligaments.
Manchesterred Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Apparently Matty's brother is one hell of a player - is that accurate? Yes, Reece great footballer, quick and strong for a small lad. Wary on in the season he seemed To lack that little bit in confidence and had a tendency to cut inside for the easy ball, but with recent spells in the championship on loan with Huddersfield and Rotherham he's gained great experience and lots of confidence coming back and beating his men at wing back. Also has a similar style to Matty in a defensive centre mid role. Can read to game well, pick up the bits and pass the ball elsewhere. As far as recovery time it all depends. If he can stay healthy whilst taking plenty of rest then it could be 6 months. If his ligaments and bruising take time to heal then it could be anything up to 9 months. Only time will tell. I'll be sure to pass on the messages of support for Matty.
Devonfox1884 Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Not as bad as it could've been, if he rests well and recovers as expected we might see him back during the Christmas/new year period! And it doesn't sound career threatening, which is the most important thing.

Countesthorpe Fox 1884 Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 I think Jay Rodriguez had the same injury. Yeh around the same time last season as well he's just got back into training although i think he tore his ACL
Countesthorpe Fox 1884 Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Also really hope matty recovers quickly and stronger although i do believe if i'm correct that he had an injury on loan at preston to do with his knee as well
Foxymcoxy Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Well ****. gonna miss him that's a long injury but can't say I didn't expect it after seeing him go down. All the best to him, hope he comes back and establishes himself again.
les-tah Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Also really hope matty recovers quickly and stronger although i do believe if i'm correct that he had an injury on loan at preston to do with his knee as well if it is acl i thought it is quite rare to actually rupture it once you have already had it operated on and reconstructed? what is common though is once you've done one you do the other knee.

Look forward to seeing him back in a City shirt next season some time.
